If I could give this place negative stars, I would. My girlfriend and I arrived and sat at the bar, we were greeted by an older gentleman with an attitude who was bartending. I ordered a cheesesteak, fries, and a beer. My girlfriend and I sat at the bar and ate our food, which was absolutely terrible. This is after I had just finished talking it up to her about how great I remembered this place being, with me living in Fenwick in the summers past years and frequenting this place. We finished our food and I ordered a second beer. The hostile bartender then approached my girlfriend (who was not drinking because she is pregnant) and asked her in an extremely aggressive manner for her ID (after we had already been sitting at the bar for 45 mins - hour eating, drinking, and etc.) My girlfriend left her ID in the truck, as I was the one paying. The bartender began speaking to my girlfriend with extreme disrespect stating that “The Police are in the bar and pointed her out as a minor and if she doesn’t have her ID she needs to leave and can’t sit at the bar” I advised him that we are both of age (28) , she is pregnant, her ID is out in the truck. He began making a scene, cursing, and causing an argument. I kept my cool and just left the place, but man, I definitely would not recommend ever going here unless you want terrible food and to be harassed...

Came with a group of friends for a weekend getaway, food was mediocre and had to practically get up out of our seats to find the waiter to give us what we needed for quality service. The service was non existent at all, we decided to leave a $5 tip and the waiter along with the manager follows us outside and screams and complains at us for giving them the amounted tip. They continue to yell at us and tell us to never come back again. He did not split the check in hopes that he would get a bigger tip. It’s not that hard to split a check. Never once came up to us and asked us how the food was. His attitude was uncalled for. Trust me, we never plan on coming back for the rest of our lives. In all the hundreds of times I’ve ate at a restaurant, I’ve not once been in a verbal confrontation outside of the restaurant with a waiter and manager. Their behavior was uncalled for. Unacceptable on their part as we did nothing wrong but rightfully paid for our food. If the waiter is so mad about a $5 tip, I suggest he gets a better paying job instead of intimidating my group of friends because we were the youngest ones there. I guarantee that would have not happened if someone older was with us. 0 out of 5 stars in my opinion. I’ve had better wings and cheesesteaks at other places. Long story short, horrible service = weak tip. Mad about a tip =...

My first time ever going here. Early day shift with "Jack " started off awesome. Nice guy, quick server and a funny man. Their Italian cold cut was good. We found 6 seats at bar quickly. (3 couples). It was a late lunch crowd on a Wednesday. It was not a shoulder to shoulder crowd. After shift change there were 2 guys, and a female working behind the bar so 3 different people may have waited on us during the rest of our short stay. That is THEIR confusion--not ours! The female was courteous. The tall long haired man and the younger guy were sarcastic and seemed aggitated. We were literally just sitting at bar talking over beers. We only cashed out as Jack left to make sure that he got a proper tip for his service. It was then we proceeded to start new tabs. The guys were taking it out on customers when they didn't know who's tab was for who and started ringing people out earlier than they asked. It's a simple question while at a bar "are you on the same tab or separate?" We only ordered two items from food menu amongst us and the rest was beers, not a crazy large order. One guy crumbled up our receipt and threw it. We had no plans on leaving that early but when that happened-we were DONE. We still tipped 20% because we are not the jerks in...

💥 Cheesesteak (and more) review time! 🥖🧀🥩 This was the most-mentioned place when I asked, so we headed to High Stakes Bar & Grill to give it a whirl. I've realized that over time, I've become quite the cheesesteak snob (though I've always been a wing snob. 🤣🍗) 🥖 Cheesesteaks must have came right from the grill cause they were HOT. We both asked for Cooper Sharp specifically, and on first glance I realized that the cheese wasn't throughout. Meh, that's the snob in me, but it's also what sets a great cheesesteak apart. Meat was seasoned well, great flavor, but a little on the dry side, even with having mayo on mine. Cheese throughout would have probably balanced out the dryness. Still, meat was finely chopped, another preference of mine. Roll was perfect, a little crunch but still soft on the inside and fresh. 7.7/10 rating. I would definitely get the cheesesteak again, but I'd absolutely order it with extra cheese in hopes that it would be cheesy throughout. 🍟 Gravy fries were good - crispy and not soggy at all. Service was good, bartenders aren't chatty but still attentive and helpful. Cool vibe in there.🤘😎 Underwhelmed but not unhappy (except for the wings, but I think it's just my luck lately...)

Since our first visit in 2014 Highstakes has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants/bars to visit whenever in town and we love bringing our friends with us. During our summer vacation we brought our dearest friends here for drinks & dinner and they loved it. The crushes are always on point, especially if Eric or Todd are making them. The crabcake sliders are a great deal at 2 for $10, no filler just loaded with crabmeat. We try to come before 7 to take advantage of all of their great happy hour specials and I'm pretty sure they have the best & longest happy hour in town - everyday 11 to 7. They recently changed their fried pickles and I love the new version, you get loads more without compromising taste and the dipping sauce packs a slight punch. It's a given that their cheesesteaks are the best, after all the owner is from Philly, I usually get the mini and can't even finish that and every day they have a different drink and food special and bingo on Sundays.

Years of ordering from here since it used to be Phillys Finest. They have really lost touch as they used to take pride in there food. Past 3-4 times ordering from here food quality has really gone downhill. Tonight's order was wrong. The gentleman on the phone while very courteous all I got was if you come back we can make you new subs. This is unfortunately was not possible nor I didn't want to drive back while everyone was already eating.
