We just got it for the first time tonight and it was very solid. As a family we were super happy to hear it was going to be new York style. It didn't disappoint. Our nine year old is VERY pizza picky. He got a pep and the first thing he ALWAYS does is pulls a piece of pepperoni on its own and eats it. It was gone by the time I went back to him and he wanted another. Loiee G's clears for our nine year old. We will 100% be back.
The vibe is exactly what I had hoped it would be. Horror but family friendly murals and at least 6 full size pin ball machines. Service was very polite and prompt.
Now for the rest. There are some absolutely insane reviews in here. We own a business in town that is well received. People complaining about the kitchen being overwhelmed when they first opened? People leaving two separate 1 star reviews from the same household? People complaining about it not being square cut when it states it's new York style? Do some of you not appreciate how important reviews are for a new business?
There is no reason AT all this place should be down near any of the chains in this area review wise and that's exactly what some of you have done with your nutty reviews. Columbus is a test market for new restaurants, the market is very difficult as a result. People should be mindful of that when you decide to leave a review based on parameters outside their control. I'm sure they got hammered after first opening and you are going to wait as a result. If you don't want to wait, wait for them to be open a little longer like we did tonight.
Great work Loiee G's. We will be back. "That pizza was bussin bussin" - 9 year old picky...
Read moreI have agoraphobia and I haven’t left my house in the past 5 months. Last week i was able to muster up the courage to go try the new pizza place in town, loiee g’s. I went in expecting to likely end up turning around and running out. But, something felt different. I felt confident and ready. After a brief moment of disbelief I went up to the counter to order. It was at the counter where I realized why I felt confident and ready. It was James. He provided excellent customer service and made me feel like I was a member of his own family. Put simply, his warm and welcoming aura cured my agoraphobia. I now confidently credit my ability to leave the house to James. He has truly changed my life for the better and showed me that there is still good left in the world. I thought the world was on a constant downhill spiral that wouldn’t stop. Then I met James. He has quite literally changed my perspective on life. Instead of focusing on the negatives in life, I now look for the positives. Whenever I see news about tragedies, all I have to do is think of James and i’m instantly in a good mood. Recently, I got a new wristband I wear when I go out (Which is now quite often thanks to james), it says “WWJD?” I was so glad I was able to find something that reminds me of James when I can feel my agoraphobia creeping in. Now, all I have to do is ask myself, “what would james do?” Asking myself this simple phrase gives me the confidence and courage to keep at it everyday....
Read moreTwo things drew us in, the horror theme concept and a New York style pizza. We weren't impressed by either. The theme was lackluster, it mostly looks like a Friendly's that got decorated by a horror fan. The pizza itself was mediocre, with the toughest crust I've ever been served, likely due to overworked dough. Pricing doesn't align with the experience or the quality of food. We dropped $80 on dinner so we could try a variety and then ordered delivery a few weeks later to give it another shot because we expected there to be some 'growing pains'. That's how we learned they don't take cash for delivery but then charge you extra to use a card. I'd go into more detail about the food and atmosphere, but it's been made clear by the owner responses in other reviews that they're far more worried about serving us sarcasm and misplaced witty comebacks to bother feeding us anything else. When your juke-box becomes your main selling point, it might be time to reconsider your marketing. In a city that is overrun with pizza options, this one has a long way to go to meet their competitors. I wish them luck. There are many other overpriced eateries in Delaware that serve delicious made-to-order pies without the salty...
