Crooked Cottage Escape Rooms — Attraction in Delaware

I was fortunate enough to get to test my wits in the Crooked Cottage on a sneak preview visit. You'll get all the best things you could want out of an escape room when you visit the Crooked Cottage. It has multiple rooms, with overlapping puzzles, clues and hidden mysteries. This room will test your skills and you'll need teamwork, cleverness and outside-of-the-box thinking to get out within the allotted hour. Having done several other escape rooms in the past, I would consider this one of the more difficult rooms I've done. The staff is wonderful and location is very cool, located just above the Raven's Cauldron metaphysical store, full of crystals, incense and other stuff. I've done a decent amount of escape rooms and I'm honestly just tired of paying $40 a person to open a lot of 3-4 digit locks. Had some cool puzzles in the room, but in the end there wasn't much tech, just finding a lot of numbers to open locks over and over again.

We did the House in the Woods room and admittedly did not complete it. I prefer a room with more of a story line to lead through the theme a bit like what you're trying to accomplish and it felt this room was really lacking. The decor was also very cheap and had all their ikea/dollar store price stickers still on them.

My fiancé and I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the new Crabtree Manor escape room, and it was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was delightfully spooky, setting the perfect tone for the adventure ahead.

The puzzles were challenging, which we appreciated as seasoned escape room enthusiasts. Each clue required a good deal of thought and teamwork, making our eventual success feel all the more rewarding.
