I used to love Victor's tacos for their great food, large portions, and reasonable prices. I hadn't been in quite some time but decided to treat myself tonight. However, the quality of their food has dramatically tanked since the last time I had been. I ordered a chicken burrito, mini steak tacos, and chips and guacamole. The burrito was literally just greasy shredded chicken in a tortilla. There were no other toppings at all. No rice, cheese, beans, lettuce, or anything else that is standard for burritos literally anywhere you go. I understand if you have to pay per topping but there is no where on their online menu that states this, so I was just expecting a normal burrito. The steak on the mini taco was grossly overcooked/dry and the corn tortilla was stale. The guacamole was so watered down that it had the consistency of baby food and was so bland that I had to add seasoning to it myself to make it remotely edible. I really hope that they were just having an off night but judging by other recent reviews It seems to not be the case. The last time I had been to Victor's they had 2 locations in the state. They now have 9. I don't know if the other branches are any better but after this experience I would be hesitant to recommend the Delaware...
Read moreTried this because I miss San Diego taco shops. I ordered the carne asada fries and they completely messed up my order. Unfortunately, I didn’t check my food until I got home, which is 20 minutes away from the shop. Usually I say “oh well” and remove what I don’t like. However, there was no fixing this. I ordered the sour cream on the side because hot sour cream grosses me out. They did gave me sour cream on the side but when I opened the box, my food was completely smothered in it and had already coagulated from the heat. I decided to drive all the way back, which was a 40 minute deviation. I let them know that all I wanted on my fries was the carne asada, shredded cheese, and the guacamole. What they had given me was carne asada, shredded cheese, sour cream, and pico de gallo. I was super annoyed that I had to go all the way back to get this corrected. It also took me speaking to two different people in two languages and repeat my order at least 3 times to get it made right. Also, one of the people I talked to seemed like he wasn’t trying to remake my food. He kept inspecting it and when I pointed out that they didn’t even add the guacamole, he finally said, “oh, you’re right.”Bottom line, check your food...
Read moreWe we're excited about this place because it just looked like one of those hole in the wall spots that has great food. The location is an old Checkers/Rally drive through, and the drive through menu was quite extensive.
Unfortunately the food wasn't great and the person that took our order seemed genuinely put out that we were there. Next, they got our order wrong and essentially ruined one dish. All of the dishes had lots of undercooked onions in them and the refried beans had the look and consistency of oatmeal. Outside the strong onion flavor, the food itself was quite bland. The steak and chicken used was in small cubed portions that could easily be missed in the dish and probably contributed to the lack of flavor as there was no discernible seasoning. The star of the meal was the enchilada sauce used on the Big OH Burrito. It stood out as flavorful. We also ordered chips and salsa... and they were out of chips, so that kind of put the final nail in a...
