My boyfriend and I went here for the first time this past Friday evening. We showed up at 7pm to make reservations for a large group, they said it would approximately 1 hour wait (which was going to work out perfectly). We happened to run into some friends that were sitting at a large table upfront towards the entrance, so we sat down and had a drink to pass the time with them. I was fairly annoyed that in order to see the alcohol list, I had to get up from the table and go look at a tv screen that was flicking through a slide show - I didn't even have time to read all the brews and descriptions before it flicked. Then about 10 minutes after we had received our drinks (which weren't great by any means) the waitress asked if we were ready to pay. I informed her that we actually had reservations and were just sitting here to pass the time until our group got there. I asked to see if we would be able to just stay at the table we were at, since the one group was about leave around 8pm (which was when our reservations for a big table were supposed to happen). They acted like it was the biggest inconvenience, and said I guess we can let you have this table, but we'll have to move some other people around. Ahhh yes! I would love my reservation with a side of guilt please -_- ..... We proceeded to clean the table ourselves, and they came over and removed the rest of it. We ordered another round of drinks and two appetizers while we waited for everyone to arrive. Within about 10 minutes of the other group leaving and us officially taking over the table, we were asked by the manager and our waitress, if our group was still coming. Yes I told them, it's only been 10 minutes and we've ordered drinks and food?!? It's a paying table, calm yourselves. Our waitress comes back over and says "Would you like to put any food in?" ... I blankly stared and her and said "well the food we ordered 15 minutes ago would be lovely".... She said "Oh right, but I was talking about your group"..... Why on earth would I know what they wanted to eat for one, and why are you in such a rush? Our friends arrived at 8:15pm, but you would think they were hours late by the way we were being treated. Food came out.... We had asked for no jalapenos on the nachos, had to pick the jalapenos out (I set them on a plate so the waitress would realize what happened - Never apologized or acknowledged it) The wings we order were a mixture of two sauces all in one, when we had asked if we could have half of the wings BBQ and half Garlic parm. Oh and how could I forget!! The manager was outside talking about us taking up a big table, and apparently thought we couldn't hear her.
After all this time of wanting to check this place out, I've never been more disappointed in the service, food, or manners, and I've never felt more unwanted. A customer should NEVER feel like they're a bother to the company they're bringing business too. Especially since we didn't do anything to deserve the treatment we received.
Will not ever...
Read moreI will start off saying, at least they served Coke Products. That was a plus, but no limes in the bar to add to it, so meh.
Husband I ordered food— he the shredded beef sandwich and fries. Me— saucy mugs, with a tots appetizer. His meal came with fries, mine did not, and I really wanted some tots.
His whole meal arrived, including lukewarm warm fries. Sandwich was so soggy he could not pick it up. Guess that is how it’s supposed to be ?!??
My saucy nuggets arrived. I asked about my tots, served replied, “oh, yeah. They are coming right up.” I see server go back to station and begin work on the computer. Husband I both finished what arrived. Still no tots. Finally, tots arrive piping hot. WTF?!? If they were coming right up, they would Not have been that hot.
Bill arrived and there were a few up charges on it, which were not told about. When we asked about, were told it was since he switched horseradish sauce for mayo and I ordered tots instead of fries.
I said whenever, just pay the damn bill so we can leave and not come back. Flat soda with little ice, missing food from the order, and upcharges for mayo are not worth the experience...
Read moreRestoration offers great beer and food in a cool, casual space. All the beer is brewed by Restoration, and believe me, they're good at what they do! I always have to try at least two or three because there are so many varieties calling to me.
If you're an omnivore, you'll have no problem finding delicious food. If you're vegetarian or vegan, you still have options, but they're more limited (hence, 4 stars instead of 5). For example, they offer FANTASTIC vegan wings, but they aren't listed on the menu -- ask for them anyway, because they're delicious!
My sons thought the "Big Girl Grilled Cheese" was delicious, but they found the house made chips to be a little over-fried. The tater tots and fries are yummy, too. The range of sauces available with all of the above is REALLY impressive -- aiolis and buffalos and French onion and many more. I can't speak to the rest of the menu, because I'm vegan, but I will say that it all sounds good.
Restoration is a great, comfortable, friendly place for your whole family....
