8 years ago review: I've been all over the country and this place has the most amazing sushi! The rolls are fresh, fat and unique and the presentation is beautiful! Looking forward to my next visit!
UPDATED August 2025 review: Unfortunately, I had to change my 5 star review from 8 years ago to 2 stars. This place has gone downhill and I used to rave about it. I usually don't leave a low review after one lousy experience but this is likely not just my experience and people should be aware. First off, we haven't been to this restaurant in about 5 years until today. Before that we were fairly regulars. We were excited to visit it again but our experience was...not good. When we walked in the floors were very slippery from grease. It was lightly raining outside which they said that was why but this wasn't water it was like a grease or wet grease. The floors just need a good cleaning. Then, we ordered 4 different sushi rolls. They came out looking beautiful but that's the only thing that was right about them. We bit into the first roll and it was spoiled. So was the second roll. The 3rd and 4th rolls were OK but sub-par. Comparable to buffet sushi or worse. Nothing seemed very fresh at all, all ingredients were just stale and they used this spicy crab topping that was more like a paste that resembled and tasted like cat food. The 2 rolls that were spoiled were inedible. We carefully determined it was the cream cheese on them that was rotten. They insisted everything was fresh! I told them maybe they believe that to be true but to please go check the cream cheese because it must have expired awhile ago. Hopefully my boyfriend and I don't get sick later tonight. Anyways, they did remove the 2 rolls that we couldn't eat because they had the spoiled cream cheese in them. Our male server was kind about it but the lady who actually made the final call to remove it from the bill wasn't very hospitable. I almost told her to feel free to try one of the spoiled rolls herself. Wrapping this review up now... the 2 shrimp egg rolls were decent and the seaweed salad was fresh and tasty. Sadly though, we won't be back. Hopefully others have a better...
Read moreAs with many of the other reviewers, I found the food and decor to be very good. However, the service is horrible, not because the servers are not pleasant, which they are, but their command of the English language is certainly not what it should be for a server/order taker in a restaurant where most of the patrons speak English. As a result of the communications problem, it's kinda hit or miss as to whether you''ll actually be served the dish that you ordered. In fact, I was served something that I did not order on 2 of my last 4 vists to this restaurant. To be honest, if their food wasn't as good as it is, and the woman who owns the place wasn't so nice and pleasant, I probably would never go...
Read moreVery Good! This place is simply wonderful. The atmosphere is cozy and the food is top notch. We ordered Sushi rolls for an appetizer (spicy tuna roll came with that great crunchiness) which were generously sized and delicious. The chicken chop suey was the best I've had in recent memory. We also ordered the triple delight (beef, chicken, shrimp) which comes paired with a delightful blend of vegetables and a succulent black bean sauce. We had absolutely no issues with the service unlike other reviewers, our water glasses were kept full and we were offered chopstix without asking. Oh, and extra credit for having low sodium soy sauce on the table..... We'll be back..... many times...
