Touchdown — Restaurant in Delaware

Wish I could leave a review based on trying food that we ordered, however, I'm having to leave this review in hopes of reaching someone in management or the owner to get refunded for our take out order I placed at 8:11pm tonight and did not get any of the items we ordered. I can only assume orders were mixed up. After I placed order on their website, it was a $70 with tip, i received an email letting me my order had been received but not yet confirmed and I would receive another email with a pick up time after it was confirmed. I waited about 30 min and still no confirmation email. This is our 1st time trying touchdown n we were excited to try them out. I called after 30 min n was hung up on. Accidents happen, so I called back. Spoke with a young lady, I could tell it was busy as it was very loud. I told her about the to go order n email and told her I ordered through their website. She finally found it and said it would be ready in about another 15 to 20 min. So I waited 20 and left to go get it. Got there and ask the guy bartender about my take out and gave him my full name. He went back to kitchen, came out n said it's almost ready. I waited at the bar and it came out about 5 min or so. Gentleman brought 2 bags n said he had more in the back. I took the 2 out to car n went back for the rest. Everything was labeled Christina and he confirmed I was Christina. I leave...get all the way home...bring everything in and family starts tearing into bags opening boxes n then we realize everything we have is nothing we ordered. I have been trying to call but no answer. It is extremely loud with the band playing, I understand completely...however, if those conditions make it hard to fulfill take out orders, maybe turn off take out during live music nights. Hopefully owners or manager will see this or I'll eventually get through on the phone to get refunded. Sadly, the order we did get is nothing anyone will eat so I'm making a quick late dinner and...

BLUF/TLDR: This place is truly a "not so hidden" gem; GREAT food and atmosphere. We've ordered many things and everything was good.

I've always noticed it in passing but never thought to give it a try until I saw they were on Door Dash. Initially ordered food for delivery--the cheese steak dip, pot stickers, stuffed mushrooms, and a Reuben--and everything was surprisingly tasty. Gave them another try on yesterday (this time in person) and can say, without a doubt, this place is awesome. Everything was cooked fresh and seasoned perfectly. We only had a problem with the wing sauce flavors as they were not what we were used to (i.e. the sauces were heavy on ketchup).

The staff were very attentive and friendly and it was a good atmosphere. There was a live band playing and that was a lovely, unexpected treat. We started with the sweet potato fries and LITERALLY would come back just for them. Those fries were SO good! No exaggeration (try for yourself). My family and I ended up getting some wings (the sauces were honestly not our favorite as they missed the mark on expectation--as explained above--but they were cooked perfectly), a mushroom cheeseburger (cooked perfectly medium well as requested, smoky, and seasoned just right), and the French dip sub (also cooked and seasoned to perfection with a great quality of both meat and cheese. The au jus was AMAZING!)

All this being said, we plan to be back soon too give more things a try and already have some future...

The other day I was in here for the first time since I moved to Delaware 6 years ago. Walking in, I thought it was a great place for my wife and I to try out and have a good time. I was doing a DoorDash, and waited at the bar to speak to someone to let them know I was there to pick up a dash. I waited for about 5 min and what it seemed to be a regular walking in way after me, the bartender never greeted me and serve the regular. They were talking and I did rudely interrupted their conversation. I felt ignored. The bartender seemed to have an attitude and was very unfriendly with me. I waited about 10min for my dash to be finished. The bartender ignored me some more after I called her over. So, I approached her and told her how much longer for my order to be finished. Now mind you, these restaurants are supposed to have these orders done by a certain time and the time certainly went over the pickup time. Continuing with my question to her, she went to the back kitchen and came out some time later and told me with attitude that they ring a bell when the food was finished. Meanwhile, some of staff was coming out of the kitchen with a mouth full of food. This place will has no communication and is disrespectful to their potential client’s.
