My family and I recently went out for a delightful Mexican feast, and it exceeded our expectations! I went with my hubby and daughter, who has a special love for tripa. We ordered a variety of dishes: Pork & Beef Tripe Tacos, chips and guacamole, a chicken enchiladas plate, and horchata to wash it all down.
First up, the chips & guac. I ordered a side of salsa, which was supposed to be an extra charge, but the server threw it in for free—score! The salsa and guac were freshly made, and the chips were still warm when served.
The pork taco tasted like it was charcoal grill—simply divine. The tripe taco? Toasted to perfection: not too hard, but with just the right amount of crunch. And that horchata? I've had my fair share of chalky, instant mixes, but this one was a revelation. It tasted fresh, not too sweet, and absolutely delightful.
Oh, and the servings? More than enough for one person—definitely come with an appetite or be ready to take some leftovers home.
The staff- Attentive and charming. When we asked for a to-go box for the salsa, they even gave us foil to wrap the container to prevent spills—talk about service! Everything was perfect, so for Mexican food, they get a glowing 5 stars from me. Just a heads up, we haven't tried the pizza or pasta yet, but we'll definitely be back. Note: My photos aren't great but I'll add more...
Read moreUPDATE: We've tried their Mexican food. It's good! We also recently tried their sicilian pizza (3rd place we've tried recently - and Porto Bella wins it for sicilian, too.)
PREVIOUS: When we moved here 2.5 years ago, we went in search of the best pizza place (having lived in NY, NJ and Philly area, it's a challenge to find a pizza place that lives up to expectations.) I'd venture to bet we've tried at least a dozen places. Our favorite used to be tied between here and another place, but recently the other place has new owners and unfortunately are no longer a recommendation. So, Porto Bella will be getting all our business from now on, and even though they don't deliver, it's well worth the drive to go there for pizza. They also offer a discount if you order on Slice app. We've ordered all kinds of pizza (homemade crust), calzones (the cheese one is one of the best I've ever had), their burgers and fries (fries are battered and crispy and some of the best we've ever had), subs (cheesesteak, chicken parmnn and cold ones), burritos and salads. We have never been disappointed. The funny thing is that we love Mexican food and have only ordered it here a few times (probably because we make it at home a lot), but what we had we liked, and two of my friends said here is their go-to place...
Read moreI dined in with my partner to get food because I've been here before with no issues. The one time I come without my family we waited 50 mins on our food we did not recieve. Granted we ordered a few different things and had no problem waiting but almost an hour is insane. Waitress no where to be found other workers walking past us multiple times ignoring us over the span of the 50 mins. Me and my parter saw customers come in order up front and get food before us. Their own employees feasting behind us at our 40 minute mark. Being ignored and not acknowledge is distasteful after being loyal customers when coming in with my family, even then we ordered a lot of food with my family and did not wait that long. Ruined our experience, never coming back. Pretty sure we were forgotten,ONLY CUSTOMERS IN THE BOOTH. Never expierenced this type of service in my life and I rarley ever take the time to give a review but it was needed. I would have understood any problems that could have occured to waiting that long but not being checked on or talked to after getting an order is...
