Harbor Freight — Local services in Dover

Not happy with this place right now. I purchased a sub pump in may of this year bought the extended warranty was told at store that if anything happen to pump all I needed to do was return it to store and they will replace it. Ha well yeah it went bad!! I go to store on a Saturday of the course pump went out early Saturday morning, quess what? Policy changed yeah of course! They did not notify as a loyal customer they just did nothing. They give me a nber to call to start the process to either get a replacement pump or money back ok I call number and guess what? Yeah close for the weekend!!!! No sub pump if u k ow how important that is yeah water all in my crawl space!!! So monday am comes around I call the number they can't help unless I have exact date of purchase ticket number store number aw!!! They give me another number to call and sk for that info but guess what again? They cant help me unless I have that information !!!!!! So nasty and unprofesional !! So I called store gentleman gives me info I need now get this I call the same number back n she didn't even ask for any of that just the contact number on account!!!!! Got all the info she needed!!! All of that for her to not even ask lime the other one did!!! Tribe service I will not purchase anything else from this place I rather pay more of my pocket by going to Lowes or home Depot it might not seem like a lot to them but they truly lost a good no a great customer I was not at all happy or satisfy with the way they handle this. I have no sub pump n I have to manually keep pumping water out of my crawl space. This has become my favorite place to get tools of any type. For the longest time I only went there to get tools I wasn't going to use much due to the lack of quality but super low price. However recently they have upgraded many of their tools! They still have the cheap inexpensive stuff but they have both wrenches and ratchets that rival snap on and 20v cordless power tools that rival tools like Dewalt. The prices of these tools are much higher than the cheap stuff (you can still get if you want) but they are still a good bit less than the tools they rival. They all come with great warranties too. When it comes to my worshop needs for drill bits, router bits, clamps, saw blades of all sorts, wratchet straps, impact bits and much much more Harbor freight has quickly become my favorite place to shop. I figured I should mention they also have a good number of large tools too. Drill press, wood and metal lathes, tile saws , bench sanders and grinders, presses and a wide variety of air pumps. I have purchased a few of their larger tools and they all do what they are made for (and some) well and still work. Some of them like the scroll saw gets used a lot more than I thought it would and still works great. I can't complain. If your in need of a tool it's a wise choice to check harbor...

I went to the store on March 10th, to purchase a top box for the bottom chest I already own from harbor freight. They didn’t have one in stock so I ordered it online with my harbor freight credit card. On March 19th I called to get a status update for my order as the estimated shipping time was 10 days and the order didn’t show shipped yet. I found out that the box was on backorder with no expected delivery date so I canceled my order. On April 5th I got a notification from Synchrony Bank (the company Harbor Freight uses for its credit cards) and was told that there was a balance due on my card. I hadn’t purchased anything else so when I looked into it, the refund had t hit my account yet. I called Harbor Freight and was told that they would flag my concern for a quicker resolution and was told it would be taken care of. Now my synchrony bill is due tomorrow for a purchase I cancelled 3 weeks ago and was told that the refund was just issued yesterday, so it will take a few days to hit the bank. So now I have to pay my synchrony bill and then hope that they send me back my refund in the form of a check. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Horrible customer service and even worse...
