I've traveled the country for business and I found this place by chance during a business trip. The wait staff cares genuinely about the customer, the business, and the experience. From the hostess ensuring I had the best seat in the house for my first experience, to the waiter walking me through the menu, recommending his favorite variation of smoked wings and sauces, to explaining the pride and passion of the bartender's mixology - you couldn't ask for a better experience. The smoked wings (naked) were prepared perfectly with a delicious dry rub... dare I say the top 2 I've ever had (Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse is the other in mind). I completely followed the server's recommendation and ordered buffalo, nashville hot, and bama bbq sauces for dipping. Mouth watering. The Nashville hot and bama together are unreal. The house fries rival any handcut homemade fries I've ever tried. Crispy, hot, salted perfectly and a large serving. I finished the plate. The old fashioned was made absolutely perfectly - the perfect ratio of Bulleit Rye Whiskey with simple syrup and bitters. I've experimented from Maine to California, and they go toe to toe against anyone. The Water Into Wine cocktail is the smoothest and most unique cocktail I've consumed. The bartender delivered the Old Fashioned and Water Into Wine directly to my table - I made it a point to tell him how good it all was. He thanked me. He explained the clarifying/purifying process required to make the Water Into Wine, and you can taste it. You could sense his appreciation, and you can sense the pride in this establishment. I overhead him talking to another customer about a focus on quality, followed by "if you build it, they will come." I don't leave reviews, but I felt compelled to leave this one. Do yourself a favor and make it a point to visit The Groove. I will certainly be back. They have built it, be sure to visit.

This was a place I was really looking forward to trying, so we decided to stop in for dinner. Service was great, we where sat quickly and our server was excellent. Hubby and I both got burgers. They where not terrible but definitely skimped on the toppings(tiny tomato and a tiny piece of romaine lettuce) and more like a smash burger. We upgraded to fries that ended up tasting like they where reheated in the microwave, soggy and generally not good. The crab dip flavor was okay, very hard to find crab in it(lots of greasy cheese) and the pretzels where thin and not great for dipping. Unfortunately the crab dip size was maybe 6oz, a tiny little cup. We also watched the bartender run his fingers through his hair, scratch his nose, face and lips and then start making drinks without a second thought. The overall value is just not there. I would not recommend this restaurant and we will not be returning.

The Groove is a fantastic establishment with a vibrant outdoor atmosphere—complete with cozy seating, ambient lighting, and a welcoming vibe. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the smoked wings with honey old bay glaze along with a great Hazy IPA they had on tap outside (I can't remember the name of the brewery). The heart behind this place is undeniable. It's family-owned, and you can feel the warmth and hospitality in every detail. The owner's loyalty to law enforcement and tribute to a lost friend is deeply moving, as reflected in the venue’s name and logo—“The Groove,” inspired by his belief that music heals the soul. I stumbled upon this place in my travels, however, I’ll absolutely return if my travels bring me through the Eastern Shore again. Honestly, it’s worth going out of your way to experience.

Was treated to Father’s Day dinner by my daughters. What a disappointment. Particular for my daughters. Arrived at our reserved time of 4:00PM. Our server, a very nice young woman, informed us that they were short staffed and may take awhile to be served, which I understood. My group of 7 had to wait about 1/2 hour to place our order, which was acceptable. But now the problems began. It took another 40 minutes before the first of the dinners to arrive. 5 meals at first. The sixth meal 10 minutes later. My meal finally arrived 35 minutes later. By the time I received my meal the rest of the party had finished their dinners. I didn’t want the rest of the dinner guests to have to wait for me to finish my meal. So, not wanting to hold up the departure of the rest of my family, I elected to have my meal packed in go containers which I would eat later at home. Our young server apologized for the long delay and offered to take my meal back to the kitchen and pack the food in go containers. I had ordered fried chicken, which was offered as a Father’s Day special. At home my wife plated my take home meal. At which time, we observed that the chicken was burned to a crisp. Un-eatable!! what a disaster. I’m a senior and this was the worst special occasion dinner out that I have ever experienced. Unfortunately, at my family’s expense. For those planning a dinner out at The Groove...
