It's an older people's hangout spot, very inviting. The food prices are good. I have never eaten lunch from here. The breakfast food quality is OKAY, when you order sausage in the scramble or omelette they just take the sausage links and cut them into huge chunks like hotdog slices. That's difficult.to eat when your trying to break FAST, it's also unappealing. Take a few seconds to remove the casing before you cook it, and then chop up the sausage with a care for the dish to make it look more appealing and a bit more edible. I have had pieces with chunks of casing hanging off it. I'm not digging the place at all, this is a GOOD RESTAURANT. Just a little constructive criticism on how to slightly improve.

Probably the smallest breakfast skillet I've ever had a restaurant. Certainly wasn't one of their hearty breakfast as advertised on the menu. Service also was lacking. Although busy, I was never acknowledged for 5-10 minutes after being seated. Following a 15 minute wait to be seated. The short amount of time I was allotted to order I felt I didn't have time to have any questions answered. After I did get my food, I was never checked on the whole meal. Wait staff only came by to give my check after I was done eating. Food was good, not a value for a tiny skillet and uninterested service.

Best pancakes in Lansing. Review by my wife. 60 out of 11. Review by my four year old daughter. Realistically it is a good local diner. The prices are very reasonable. The staff is friendly and quick. The children’s meals are very small both my kids ate off our plates after they finished theirs, but they are very Reasonably priced so I didn’t mind. The chili on their chili dog is more Detroit style than Flint. If that matters to you. It isn’t a strict Detroit style either though - it is wet.

I was actually in here on 6/2/2024, but had been contemplating on leaving a review, so here it is: First, I guess it was kind of weird for SOME customers to see two Melinated Americans come in? Lots of stares, nothing at all wrong with what we were wearing. Then I sat down in a chair next to some high chairs while my significant other stood, and the only two other people waiting, rushed to the empty booth next to us and told the waitress they were “standing guard so no one will take the booth”. I swear, some Caucasian people don’t realize how silly they look doing the absolute most. It was the first time in my 35 years on this earth that ever happened. Then while I was having a conversation I had to say, “some people act like they have a staring problem” in the direction of a woman who couldn’t keep her head forward, she was very interested in again, staring. She didn’t turn back around after I said that. Our waitress finally came, very short hair and brunette. Not sure what her issue was, but she acted like she didn’t want to serve us! I over tipped her because as a child of Yahweh I understood that her attitude was not my problem. I doubt if I’ll be back though, I never had to deal with...

the food was not bad but the customer service was horrible. the second we came in the door, they looked at us like they didnt want our business. an older blonde looking waitress took our orders, I ordered a dish that I had ordered several times before, the famous scramble, the choices were to have it with gravy or chilli, they usually let me have half and half, the blonde waitress straight up said no in a bitchy way, I was about to tell her that i always have it half and half..and the first time i ordered that meal it she who said i could have it that way, but i kept my mouth shut as a didnt want them to spit on our food, needless to say it was a bad experience, customer service staff was def, not friendly and the older blonde waitress was rude, I probably will not go back there again, my cousin with his kids that came with me were not impressed, I do not recommend this place, it will go out of business soon, they should have...

My family started going to Dimitri's when I was a toddler ( I actually took some of my first steps to Dimitri the owner) so it is so sad to see this restaurant go downhill since moving to it's current location. The food is still good but the service is not great and the employees will shut it down pretty much whenever they feel like it. As the hours are stated now, Dimitri's is supposed to be open until 3 pm. However, I've been by the restaurant numerous times around 2:15 to 2:30 and it's closed. Recently, I decided to try and stop for lunch because like I said, the food is good and and it was about 45 minutes before it was supposed to close. I walk in and the waitress tells me that the cook had already left and they were shutting down for the day because "it had been slow.". Don't all businesses have slow days? Yet I have never seen any of them get to use that reasoning to close before they are supposed to like...
