I rarely leave negative reviews, BUT Charlene EARNED THIS ONE. I went in to return a pair of 1 day old boots because the comfort was less than ideal for a $200 pair of boots. Mind you, I already cleared this with the manager the day prior. But no, she decided she would try to degrade me in front of another customer. Stating I would NEVER be able to return anything else again since this was my 4th return. The other returns: $60 pair of insoles that were no better than Dr. Scholls $12 ones. A few pair of $20 socks, per pair. One pair of actual boots. If you makes claims these products are elite, they better be or you're getting them back! Period. Every purchase had a receipt! You even claimed the "30 day return" policy when I bought them, TELLING ME TO TRY THEM OUT! So once they DID return these boots today, I asked if the new boots had been conditioned. Her response : "YES, FROM THE FACTORY!" ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? We all know these Red Wings stores condition new boots before you leave. So she takes them back and slaps it ALL OVER THE ENTIRE BOOT, on purpose. Then basically throws them at me! Charlene, let's remember....we all have the ability to review a business's poor practices so that's what you see here. Don't let your frustrations win over providing good customer service. This isn't the first time you've argued with me either. I won't be back in your store and I hope this review deters a few others as well. It's true! If you're gonna sell $200 pairs of boots, be prepared to stand behind them. Keep it up and soon you will have no customers. Feel fortunate customers still come into the store instead of buying online....
Read more1/16/23 bought a new pair or redwing 2442 boots for work. Never tried the flat souls before so I figured I would. I wore them on Tuesday for about 6 hours and they killed my feet so I wanted to return them and get the 4420 boots like I’ve always had and the store REFUSED very rudely to take them back since they were worn. Mind you only for 6 hours and still looked brand new, I have been buying redwing boots twice a year for since 2010 and never had any issue at all! I called corporate yesterday and am waiting on a response but this place by far was the worst boot buying experience ever. It all could have been settled if they would have just swapped me a pair. Read moreI cannot stress how great the service i got was. I just started a job at GM on the line and needed a good solid pair of boots. Charlene graciously introduced herself to myself and my friend. She then proceeded to show the best boot and foot knowledge I have ever seen. She was quick to point out key things with how I walked and ran me through the various stress points and how they affected my overall body. I asked for a pair of Irish Setter Wingshooter STs and she was quick to find me a pair that fit me perfectly. I will be coming back and shopping exclusively with her.
