Went to dxl for a dress shirt as part of a Halloween costume. I normally don't wear many so this was going to be a wear once kind of item. Knowing this I went to the clearance section. Arriving there I notice that about half the shirts didn't have clearance stickers on them. Found one I liked but it was one without a sticker. So I went to the register and asked how much it was going to be and explained where I had found it and that there were many shirts without stickers. He scans it and very shortly says full price. Ok so are all of them back there without stickers in the CLEARANCE section full price? Long story short the gentleman at the counter was very short and condescending. I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars at DXL and the service has ALWAYS been over the top good until 10/30/21 at the Lansing Michigan store at around 6pm. Where I was treated like I was unwanted there and I was trying to scam them or something. I will drive the extra 20miles to Grand Rapids...
Read moreI am a big and tall guy who hates going shopping for clothes because it is always so difficult.
My wife had to drag me to DXL on my first visit because of all my bad experiences at other places. I was treated so kindly and I found so many stylish clothes that fit perfectly here.
I won't lie, I am man enough to admit, after leaving the store I sobbed like a baby in the car, because it was so amazing to go clothes shopping and have such a great experience. I'm honestly getting a bit emotional writing this. I've been there many times since.
I know "life-changing" feels like an extreme thing to say about a store, but I can't think of any other way to say it. This store has enriched my life greatly.
If what I said strikes a chord with you, and I know there are others out there like me, come to DXL, I know why you would be hesitant, I know you have been hurt before, have no fear, they understand you, they take care of you here, you have found...
Read moreI was fortunate to be able to stop in person at the Lansing store. The quality of the clothing was excellent, even bought a pair of shorts. But I was kinda let down by the one person on duty. I really had no interaction with him, and had to search him out to get accurate measurements. Got a "hello" when I came in but that was it. I was the only customer in there and was somewhat disappointed. I wasn't approached at all when shopping, and had no idea my waist size. The cashier seemed rather hesitant to even measure me for a proper fit. I know it's difficult to get help, but I just wanted to advise you on this. Perhaps some coaching on customer relations would help everyone out all around?. Thanks. Take Care...
