I don't typically like to leave negative feedback; however, tonight I might as well have picked up some frozen food and microwaved it. I placed my order in the app around 6:15pm, and got to the restaurant about 20 minutes later. I waited for another 28 minutes, after checking in before the food was finally brought out to the car. I checked my meal, and realized over half of my order was not in the bags. So, I went inside... When I walked into the restaurant, I noticed there were several door dash bags lining the counter next to the employees. I waited for about 25 minutes before an employee came to the register to assist me. There were several other customers in the lobby who were waiting on orders and some who needed to place some. After the young man asked me the problem, and I explained to him that I only received 40 of the 100 nuggets I ordered, he told me he would get a manager and quickly darted towards the back of the house. 30 minutes later, a young lady came and asked if I needed help. After explaining to her I had been there for over an hour, she turned and requested the remainder of my order. The door dash orders went out at about that time... I can only imagine how long the customers had to wait on their food, and God forbid anything was wrong with the order. My family loves Mcdonald's, but it will be a long time, if ever before I go back to the location in Watson off of Hwy 16. I would understand if they were shorthanded or a school bus full of football players in the lobby or something, but this wasn't the issue. It was complete and utter negligence and disregard for the customer. Had I believed it could be done in a timely manner, I would have requested a full refund because I was no longer interested in the cold food I had waiting for me in my car. But- I knew if I were to ask for that, I wouldn't have left until after 9pm with the way things were going. All of the food, minus the 60 forgotten nuggets, was ice cold and a complete letdown by the time I was able to make it back home. As I stated before, I don't usually like to write negative reviews, but this was probably the worst experience I had ever had dealing with a food establishment. Read moreIts weird cause it’s a hit or miss at this location. This review isn’t meant to say that I don’t appreciate this Mcdonalds and the times that they do a great job. So thank you to the harder working employees here. I usually have an average experience here. Not always great not always unpleasant. But it’s the only McDonalds close to Watson, for those of us who need to eat later than usual. And so, amongst other common mistakes in the past, what finally brought me to write this review is this: It’s March 7th, a sunday- 11:10 pm as I start to write this review (late, but not close to or past 12am when google’s site says they will close) and they have refused to serve food through the drive thru. The woman was polite enough while informing us. But This isn’t the first time this has happened to us here either. Its really frustrating to check online and see the hours, then see that they’re open, go ahead drive over there just to be greeted with this unfortunate news. Why are they refusing food before closing time? They used to be 24 hours but I understand things change. It’s got me wondering if they are just super duper short staffed or if there have been emergencies or exceptions to cause this to happen so often. But all in all, i’m really disappointed. I’ll be back, though. I know how it is and I’m still appreciative for this place when they can serve me good to average quality food during open hours. Just hoping someone important sees this review. Update: they told us to go to the one a bit further away, on Florida blvd. They said it’d be open even though their google listing says 11pm. Nope.. Had to drive to the interstate and barely made it in...
Read moreFirst and foremost, if you are shutting down the restaurant for the night then don't take an order you cannot properly fulfill. I ordered 2 Hot and Spicys, 1 Bacon McDouble, 2 medium fries, and 2 Cokes. I am assuming I at least got the burger I ordered but I didn't even get that far before backing back up to the window because I didn't have the 2 Hot and Spicys and the two half-filled medium fries were ice cold and tasted like shoe leather that had sat under a heat lamp for 2 hours. The drive thru worker said there was nothing she could do since they were closed (mind you this was not 30 seconds before the gladly took my money for what was essentially trash) and that I should call corporate but then was told they could drop new fries but not make the other part of my order which was just as bad as being told there was nothing they could do in the first place. I requested a refund and after being told they couldn't for various reasons, the manager finally and reluctantly made an appearance to give me a refund.
If anyone thinks it's acceptable to sell your trash to customers no matter how late it may be then you probably should not be working there, management or not. Next time, save everyone the trouble and just say you are closed so no one has to taste those abominations you...
