Smalls Sliders is just as the name suggest; they sell sliders. Much like Raising Cane's in that regard, though lacking a catchphrase or motto. The food you can get from Smalls Sliders ranges from 1-4 sliders, depending on how many you desire, waffle fries, an option to add bacon and/or another patty, and various side-ordered condiments.
Today, I ordered two double-cheese sliders with bacon. The food was. . . extremely greasy, and the bun did not fair well to the amount of grease. There was also a pathetic amount of sauce on the sliders that I was barely even able to taste. However, the meat was much better than most places, and the bacon was cooked quite well.
The fries were not bad and I might argue the fries are more of a selling point than the sliders. The taste was satisfactory and they were fairly crispy, having similarities to Rallys/Checkers fries. Overall, was not disappointed in the fries.
The most abhorrent thing served to me was the horrendous sweet tea. Good lord, I feel sullied by your sweet tea. It tastes like water mixed in copious amounts sugar, while somebody tries to describe to you what tea leaves taste like. This has to be a Northern-based company, no Southern company would ever let that pass.
The staff on the other hand, were extremely friendly. Perhaps the existential dread has not caught up to them yet, but they were incredibly friendly. I do not ask for much in service, as my standards are pretty low. If I say, "Thank you", I expect a response. Even if you just grunted, that'd be acceptable to me.
The atmosphere has a lot to be desired, but I didn't really come here for the atmosphere. The patio design with the strung out bulbs was nice though. Definitely appreciate that...
Read moreSliders were very filling, I was full after eating just 2! Love how they were able to develop such a great crust on their beef patty which help caramelized that savory flavor. The pickles were a great addition to give it that refreshing crunch to help cut down the heaviness from the beef and cheese. Wish they put on more sauce! I couldn’t really tell what it was…maybe a Mayo and ketchup mix or thousand island-esque dressing. The buns were fluffy, buttery and sweet which help balance everything together.
My favorite are their waffle cut fries, they were so good and seasoned well. You have to get a side of queso! Wish it was a large portion for $1.50~.
Cookies and cream shake was tasty with the right ratio and not overly sweet. Perfect way to end your meal.
Fair warning, on the way into their drive thru, the lot that it is sitting on is riddle with pot holes. Their drive thru is awkwardly sloped and raised so drive carefully! There is only outdoor seating available. Employees were...
Read moreWorth the wait time! I was discouraged at first when I saw the long line of cars, but curiosity got the best of me, so I pulled in. Friendly staff were waiting with tablets to take orders of people in line, either pre-pay with a card or with cash at the pick-up window.
Food was perfect. Hot, juicy sliders. Fresh and crispy waffle fries that remind you of Rally's/Checkers seasoned fries. And no employees around that didn't have a smile on their face.
Only thing that was mildly confusing was when both drive thru order lanes had to merge, since vehicles have to be in a certain order. So it was different to have to criss-cross lines after placing an order. That aside, ordering is easy. Also, this was at a peak time, so maybe the lines won't always be backed up.
Bottom line? Food was worth the wait. More like what you'd get from a sit-down restaurant than fast food. You have to try it at least once, then...
