T'quilas Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Denham Springs

While the food is good, the service was subpar. We went on a weeknight around 8pm with only 2 other tables sat with customers. Our waitress seemed to have a hard time understanding our drink order which should've been our first sign to leave.

She asked for our drink order which was 2 waters and 2 cocktails off their menu. Just the names of the cocktails were given.. no modifications. About 15-20 minutes go by and still no waters even were brought to us as we are eating chips/salsa and thirsty. Another waitress approaches us and tells us that our waitress had a hard time getting what drinks we wanted. So we had to repeat our drink request to her. The waters came out shortly after, but another 10-15 min wait for the cocktails added on.

So then we order our food. 10 minutes later the girl comes back asking my boyfriend which salad he wanted again. He ordered a taco salad add chicken... but she wasn't able to understand his order so he had to point on the menu which one he wanted. Also no refills done for the water the whole time we were there... I ended up giving my boyfriend mine so he could have something to drink. We finally get our food which was good. When we leave my boyfriend decided his first time there was not impressive with how complicated it became to get a simple order down, in addition to the long periods we waited to get drink service. As soon as we left he said we won't...

Service & Atmosphere

Greeted immediately upon entering and sat expeditiously. The vibe is modern with nice decor.

The waitstaff was professional and efficient.

The restroom was extremely clean and smelled great.

Food The complimentary black bean dip was delicious with the chips and salsa: great unique touch.

The food was prepared expertly: well-seasoned and fresh. Its take on tortilla soup was interesting. It came out white. I was suspicious initially, but it was yummy. The beef quesadilla had an abundance of seasoned meat and cheese with perfect grill crisp on the outside.

My boyfriend enjoyed the shrimp enchiladas as well. It was his first time trying enchiladas. I did notice they came with a white sauce instead of the usual reddish sauce.

Cocktails

The cucumber margarita did not disappoint. The alcohol had a punch: strong, but yummy.

Verdict

Great food and cocktails with a modern vibe for a reasonable price. I can't...

It's ok. I went on a Friday night, which was nice because they had a live band. It's very loud, but that's ok. Took a while for a server to be assigned to our table. She was extremely nice, but you could tell she's struggling to keep up with....hold on...the few tables that were seated.

We gave our drink and food order to save time and while we waited, another couple was seated next to us. After a few more minutes go by, the couple gives up and leaves. No server ever spoke to them.

Our drinks arrive...glorious! One is a large while the other a medium when both were ordered as mediums. The 3rd drink, a Vodka martini. It's was just Vodka.

Food arrives...Thank God! The steak fajitas were tough and thick! I HATE thick cuts of the steak. I would rather carneasadas and cut it myself. Beef enchiladas were tasteless. Not worth the $100 bucks I just dropped.
