We travel quite a bit and eat at quite a few restaurants on our journeys. I try to always pay attention to reviews of food places. This place got enough good reviews that I figured we should try it. The good reviews were not wrong. The place has an amazing breakfast. The ceilings were clean which speaks volumes about restaurants. The bathrooms were clean. All of the dining areas were clean. The guy busing the tables was very personable and well kept. Meaning he didn’t look like he crawled out of bed and came to work which I am impressed with. The waitresses were all very friendly and kept a check on us to make sure that we didn’t need anything else. The pancakes were amazing according to my husband who is a pancake connoisseur. Meaning he’s eaten a bunch of them 🤣. When I asked for a to go coffee (which I very rarely do because it’s not that great at restaurants) I figured it would be a small to go cup but it was not. That is why I included a picture of it. I am impressed with their food and their service. Have a great day whoever is reading this. Happy travels 😊

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nick’s Family Restaurant, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm, welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made sure we had everything we needed. The menu offers a great variety of dishes, with something for everyone—whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast, a fresh salad, or a comforting lunch. I opted for the catfish fillet and iced tea it was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked with generous portions and iced tea is best one. What really sets Nick’s apart is the consistency and heart that goes into every meal. You can tell the food is made with care, and that’s not something you find every day. The prices are also very reasonable, making it a fantastic spot for a casual yet satisfying meal. If you're looking for a cozy, family-friendly place with great food and excellent service, Nick's Family Restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I can't wait to come back!

One of the absolute best around a classic! 8/9/23: Man the Biscuits and Gravy are good. The Deluxe Grilled cheese with American, pepper jack and Fresh grated mozzarella with small sliced habanero peppers and a trace of garlic l...Minced is awesome. 9/1/23. 9/4/23: these guys get there flour from up in Minnesota somewhere. Man these flakey biscuits just break right apart. Soaked in butter sauce from an old Michigan family recipe, farm fresh eggs from a lil Bonham homeplace. 9/5/23 the farm eggs tasted great, the new butter from the Fort Worth company was fluffy as can be an warm to the touch. Hash browns very good, Utah Gold potatoes couldn't be...any better? Dang

Omg. Chicken fried steak. Just...omg. Go. Go now. And put some golden happiness in your face.

Ok ok I know Google wants long detailed reviews so if that's not clear enough here goes. Home cooking. Not home STYLE cooking mass produced to feed the mindless unhappy and nameless crowd. This is actual home recipes. The soups ok but good Lord that fried steak... Spuds are nummy and the salads don't strike me as purely rabbit food. You'll find the city hall politicians and civil servants, working crews, families with kids, hipsters with some food sensibility, and the local farmers/ ranchers out for a nice breakfast with their wives here. Pretty much everyone knows this is where you go for good wholesome heart warming American food. Service is personable, honest, and fast. Ask them opinion and they'll tell you honestly what's good and what you should order if you feel like rolling yourself out the door. I have no idea about their desserts, I've always been too stuffed to order anything, but they never question a need for a take home box! On that subject serving sizes are spot on. Really nice people and their cold, no matter what shift, have never failed my need for perfectly fried chickenie goodness. Yes that's a word. It's on the internet so you...

We had stopped going here due to portion sizes. I have had weightloss surgery and cannot eat much so my husband and I share food. After a few weeks they complained about us sharing even though we always spent at least $25 and left very generous tips. Today we took my niece to breakfast for her birthday, the waitress is one that I never want again. If we ever do go back I will request to sit in someone else's area. She was rude and did not take care of us. She was left a $25 tip and openly complained about the tip because she only saw the $5 bill on the table. We asked to swap the French toast with a waffle because Nicks honestly has the most wonderful waffles we have ever eaten and I am a chef. They would not swap, we would have to pay full price for a waffle which would have been another $8. So that being said. I paid $65 for 3 breakfast's, 4 coffees, and terrible service followed with a $25 tip because I assume the waitress is terrible due to her own financial woes. So it cost me $100 for 4 people to eat at a diner for breakfast and be treated like a second class citizen because I have had weightloss surgery. No pictures because, what would...

After my husband and I moved here, we went out to eat here a few times, and every time our food came out cold; also, the servers are totally oblivious to what's going on in the restaurant because there doesn't seem to be any defined "section" for them, instead the waitresses are all over the place and seem to have issues keeping up with customers. My daughters grandpa likes to drink coffee here, and he took her to the cafe. Well, I went here just to pick up my daughter, a 14 month old baby, and she threw up all over me. Instead of them helping me clean up, they threw a towel at me and said, "clean it up", which I was already doing. I have personally worked in restaurants for about 8 years, and never did we ever make the customers clean up vomit, and we always treated them with respect and moved them to a different part of the restaurant. The people who work here don't know what respect is, and when I quickly took my baby girl's throw up covered clothes off her, they said sharply, "you need to do that in the bathroom." DON'T EVER GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED...
