We have been coming here forever and literally a couple times a week all year round. We were never so disappointed in any restaurant as by our last visit here in the Fall. Our waitress (Racheal) was not only bad at her job but argued with us when we asked for different clams because the ones we were served were very over cooked. Rachael actually yelled at us and made a scene! She said she didn’t think the clams were that bad but agreed they were more cooked than usual. It was the most unpleasant experience we’ve ever had anywhere. We were actually shocked and had to ask her to lower her voice. Yes she was that bad! She came back several times to say yet another rude comment as her voice became louder and louder. She obviously doesn’t like her job but that’s no excuse. She should not be working in this capacity and needs to move on where she can’t bully people and make a scene. We paid to be bullied and yelled at? The food has been in steady decline as well. Yet we were loyal customers until this incident broke the camels back. No one should be treated like this at any restaurant no matter what!! We’re actually still in shock and will never go back again. We supported Jason’s as much as we could through the pandemic but just can’t ever be treated this way again. Read moreService was the worst I've ever experienced on Cape ever ever ever! My gf and I were so excited to finally try Jason's! My salmon was decent but portion was too small. Much smaller then nearly any other restaurant. My gf had an "award winning" burger. However, I give it a 2, nothing special about it, very dry and unflavorful. However it would have been worth giving it another shot, if it weren't for the awful service! From the get go our waitress was in a rush to break away. I prefer a server who recommends dishes and engages us even if but for a moment. Our drinks (rum punch), which we loved we, we're great. However, we only got one round. Our server never checked back on us. Our drinks were gone when we got our meals. We never got our second round. The biggest smack, was that we ordered waters when we sat down and NEVER got them. So we ate food very thirsty. Got the attention of the bartender to pay. (We waited for 20min to pay after eating while thirsty) then went to CVS to hydrate and wash down our food. I had the meatloaf on special and it's not that it was bad but it wasn't very good either if that makes sense. When first brought out, my meatloaf was cold on one side and warm on the other side and my friends was lukewarm. I couldn't eat it without asking the waitress to bring it back and warm it up. Butternut squash was good, could use less butter though. The potatoes could use more flavor to them as I could not taste them. Overall the meatloaf would have been good if I didn't receive it cold. It was also oddly chunky? Maybe they put veggies in the meatloaf? I'm not sure but the texture was very off-putting. My friend ordered the same thing and said all of the same things I'm saying, except she ate her food lukewarm and didn't ask for it warmed up because she was nervous they would be upset. I'm hoping if I do return, next time what I order is just a tad bit better. I think they food just needs a little revamping. I really wanted to like it and I want to return but they really need to work on properly seasoning their food and warming things...
