I have visited this Fuzzy’s many times and usually I am satisfied with my food and service. However, today I had my worst fuzzy’s experience. First, my taco contents were burnt but I ate it anyway because it wasn’t worth bothering the uninterested employees. Also they were veggie tacos so I don’t know why they had been burnt. Second, I selected a margarita for happy hour and I always get the mango which I am very satisfied with. Unfortunately, I received the “Fuzzy Driver” which I was told by the employee was the mango flavor but instead it was the worst margarita I’ve ever had. I would have thought it’s hard to mess up a margraita but today I’ve been proven wrong. I believe it was supposed to be a screw driver version on a margarita but instead it tasted like medicine and fake fruit. My friend also ordered one and couldn’t finish it because they said it was that bad. Again, I regularly order a mango/strawberry/lime flavored margarita and it suits me fine. Third, I had ordered a chips and queso to my order with my coupon which was used but I did not recieive the discount. I was going to order guac with the queso but I was denied the discount so I ordered neither. Fourth, I visited the restroom that smelled like a portapotty and was left a mess. I get that restrooms get like that especially when busy but when 6 employees were socializing in the kitchen just around the corner, it’s not exactly right. In addition to the uncleanliness, when I arrived there was trash out side on a few tables and the same trash was there when I left. This was one of my favorite places to eat but after today I will not be...
Read moreFuzzy's as a chain is one of my favorite hangout spots for tacos and beer. I want to make it clear that my 2 star rating is not for Fuzzy's overall, merely the rating I give this particular location. The quality at this location has been steadily dropping over the past year and a half and the drink options are limited compared to what you can get in a Fuzzy's in McKinney or Frisco. I think the final straw that had me give this poor review is that we were up-charged due to the cashier's misunderstanding. I don't blame the cashier, order taker, she was lovely and apologetic about the mistake, but the manager insisted we pay more to cover the mistake, and insisted that she remove the the food that was served to us by mistake. This is the first time in my entire life that a restaurant has not only demanded a mistaken back from us as customers but also insisted that we pay extra for the correct order. The food quality at this location has been diminishing for years but this service experience has driven me over the edge and I know consider this particular location as one to avoid. There is another location on 35 which has slightly better experience but I would whole-heartedly recommend you only get Fuzzy's if you are in the McKinney/Plano/Frisco area. I don't know what has happened in Denton, but it is no longer worth the...
Read moreStore hours say open until 10:00PM. I walk in at 9:30 to order and the night manager tells me they are closed. When I ask for contact info for the store manger, he goes to the back office, then returns and says he can’t find anything.
Still looking for a store manager or corporate contact to discuss the incident.
Update: the store manager replied the next morning with:
“My name is Jayden Davidson and I am the General Manager for Fuzzy's Taco Shop in Denton on Industrial St. I received your email about your visit last night and I want to assure you that this is not the standard for us, nor do I find it acceptable. Our hours are posted for the ease of our guests and should therefore be followed. I will be speaking to my staff that was working last night to find out their reasoning for making this call without my knowledge.
Thank you for taking the time to reach out and I do apologize for your experience last night.
If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate...
