I had never been to LSA until a few weeks ago, and as much as I heard good reviews about it, this was a severe letdown. First off, we walk in, get taken up to the "top section," not the roof, not ground floor, which was fine, we put in our drink orders and an appetizer. Now while I understand this is a restaurant and not a fast food place, there is no world where a lemonade is worth practically 4 dollars, nor is a sweet tea, half the size of a large fast food cup, for half the price, worth 3.25.
We got the brisket queso, and it was good, but it was about the only good thing we received. We put it our food orders, in which I got the Spirit of a Hero, and my accompaniments got something else. The server, whom I dont remember his name, kept suggesting changes to the burgers, saying, "Oh well, I'd recommend this and that." What he didnt tell us is not only that it costs money, but how much it costs, I'm assuming this is how they get extra money, because these "addons" that we weren't told were upcharges ahead of time came out to about 20 dollars on the bill by themselves, for two burgers, 4 add-ons total.
Food comes out, and both burgers were absolutely mediocre at best, with the only taste off of mine being a Mac and Cheese taste, nothing else, (not even the bacon which I paid an extra 3 dollars, didnt know how much it was until I read the check, for one slice of bacon that was so over cooked that while it wasn't burnt, it was so dehydrated it crumbled in my mouth like biting into a charred piece of a burger and the burnt dust collects in your mouth.)
About this point, I had finished a second lemonade, refills are 3.25 by the way and I was actually told it would be an upcharge this time, and so I ordered a water, just for when they brought it out, the water glass, along with the tea glass, were about a quarter size larger than the glass my lemonade was served in. That I paid more for. That I had to pay refills on, unlike the tea.
Bill came out to over 90 dollars without a tip and over 100 with, for two burgers and queso. Will not ever eat here again, and if you decide to, if they "suggest options," tell them to take them elsewhere. They dont care about you. They just want your money. (For the record, it's 3 dollars to sub out your bun for toast. Show me where I can spend 3 dollars on two slices of bread and not on the whole package so I...

🎨 The Vibe Walking into LSA is like entering a Texas-meets-pop-art fever dream—in the best way. The legendary Texas Last Supper mural is always a photo op, and the rotating local art on the walls adds a funky, community-driven touch. Add rooftop seating with views of the square? Chef’s kiss. It’s a whole Denton experience before your food even hits the table.
🍔 The Food They don’t just serve burgers—they serve statements on buns.
Los Lonely: The fan favorite, and for good reason. Classic, juicy, reliable.
Ready Freddie + Psychedelic: Flavor explosions, and perfect for the adventurous.
Brisket Queso: Honestly, worth coming for this alone. Melted cheese, smoky brisket, crispy chips = yes.
Parmesan Fries: Crispy, garlicky, and slightly addictive. (You’ve been warned.)
Portions are solid, and the creativity in the menu keeps it fun without feeling gimmicky.
🙌 The Service Generally great—most servers are friendly, upbeat, and quick on their feet. That said, during busy times (weekends, events, or a perfect patio day), expect a bit of a wait. Not a dealbreaker, but good to know.
⚠️ The Cons (Because honest reviews matter) Crowds: This place is popular for a reason—rooftop or not, expect a wait during peak times.
Prices: It's definitely not fast-food pricing. You're paying a little more for the experience and the setting.
Noise: It can get loud, especially indoors. Don’t expect a quiet catch-up dinner here.
Parking: Denton Square parking is what it is—cute, quirky, and often full. Plan ahead or prepare to circle.
🏁 Final Word LSA Burger isn’t just another burger joint. It’s a full-on Denton experience—bold flavors, vibrant art, and a rooftop view that makes everything taste better. Whether you're a longtime local or just visiting, it’s a spot that absolutely delivers.
Is it a little loud, a little crowded, and a bit pricier than some others? Sure.
Is it worth it? Every....
Read moreThis is my first dining experience in Denton as long as I've been here in Dallas . I looked up this restaurant as a close proximity to the Denton Train from DART Dallas . It was only a 25 min relaxing ride and I was ready to EAT. I walked in to a just right Air conditioned restaurant. A waitress / bartender named Reagan greeted me immediately and asked where I would like to sit . I asked about the rooftop and she directed me to either of the stairs or elevator way to get to the Rooftop. I started up the stairs and it was so hot outside I said "nah , forget this 🤣" and I went back downstairs and was greeted by a host and he asked where I wanted to sit , and I saw the young lady that I spoke with initially ( she was so inviting and professional) , I asked to be seated in her section ( Reagan ) . She came right over , no wait time at all . She gave me the rundown of the menu and the history of the dish names . I told her that I had already picked out what I wanted on the train ride here , and she was ready with her TOAST device .
I ordered the Peach 🍑 Vodka Lemonade 🍋 Brisket Queso 🍛 and Chips and the Bacon 🥓 Cheeseburger 🍔.
The drink was ...meh But the food ...... DAMN ❤️ That Brisket Queso and chips was enough for 3 people!!! It was soooooooo good , y'all . Then , the Burger and Fries 🍟???? This was a REAL , at your Auntie's Weekend Have All the Cousins over , Uncle in the backyard on the grill , boys playing tag football , girls doing whatever they be doing BURGER !!! And those HOUSE MADE 🍟 slapped 👍. It's a cool little mid week spot for lunch - there were couples , families , business people having impromptu meetings . It's was lively but not too loud .
