I tried this place because I had never been there before and received a coupon in the mail. Because of the fact that I had never been there before, I really didn't know about how to order...the coupon that I chose to use was $19.99 for 2 large 2 topping pizzas...the first pizza was pepperoni and sausage the 2nd pizza, I unknowingly chose the wrong words when ordering...I wanted the meat that comes on the Philly Cheesesteak pizza so I said, Cheesesteak and jalapeños...the person taking my order should have asked me if I wanted a specialty pizza or just the meat but when I arrived to pick up the pizza...I was charged almost $30.00...I inquired about the price difference and was told that I ordered a specialty pizza...I told the guy at the counter that had I known that, I would have changed my order...so he gave me a $20.00 credit for a future order...I was thinking to myself that I possibly didn't want to return there again for food but I really had no choice since the guy said he couldn't refund my money...the pizza that I had...(the " specialty pizza" Philly Cheesesteak " with jalepenos) was not stellar by any stretch of the imagination...first of all the majority of the ingredients were mainly in the middle of the pizza leaving around 2inches of dry crust...I really didn't detect much meat on the pizza which was mostly cheese with around 2 cups of jalapeños thrown on top of the pizza...making me think that it was an after thought( which I picked most of them off before eating) the green pepper that was on the pizza was not very palatable and felt like I was eating plastic for some reason...had to spit them out...I also didn't detect any sauce of any kind on the pizza either and lastly ...who puts mushrooms on a cheesteak?? The second go round to the restaurant didn't offer much more satisfaction than the first...I was told to ask for " steak" if I wanted the meat that came on the Philly Cheesesteak...so I ordered " steak" and banana peppers this time...the "steak" looked like someone took thinly sliced sandwich meat( Similar to Arby's)and cut it into rectangles and placed a few pieces around the pizza...apparently they used pizza sauce because the 2 inch dry border was tinged with a red color...there were many areas of burnt topping or crust...and the pizza was dry and the peppers were barely under the cheese...worst pizza that I have ever had in my life!! They make Little Ceasers look like a gourmet pizza palace!! Not sure what the other pizza looked like as it was for my son but I will never step foot in this place again or recommend...
Read moreThis is the last time I come to any Marcos pizza. We ordered at 1022 PM. The site made us pick a time for pickup. Options were 1030PM or 1100PM. The excuse the person gave me when I asked was i thought it was a typo for tomorrow. So I politely asked why didn't you call was on well I had too many orders to do. We also called at 1045PM because the status wasn't updating, so we were concerned. On top of this, I wasn't the only customer who showed up to the store to pick up their 11PM pickup.
UPDATE
I spoke to Rick today. Very nice, fella. Apparently, a bunch of people called out and left one person, Jose, who actually stayed at work to do it himself. For that, I'm sorry I was upset. It was very late and was our dinner because I woke up at 6 am for work. There were apologies on both ends because I reacted poorly to the situation. I would've been more understanding had I just been told the situation that happened.
I would like to personally thank Rick and Jose for clearing up the situation. Again I apologize for my attitude and reaction. Y'all need to give these 2 people a promotion...
Read moreOrder a pizza with a promised time of 7:47PM. At 8:05PM I call to inquire about my pizza and it’s still in the building. I then decide to pick it up myself but on the drive up there, thought it was best to just get a refund. The wife and I walk in, and a young man named Roman was the shift leader. He asked if this was the order changed from delivery to carryout and I suggested if it’s helpful to understand why we did. I then begin to provide feedback on expectations when Roman interrupts me and says, “I don’t care, shut the ** up.” My wife was standing right beside me. We will never eat at Marcos Pizza again. This kid had a smile on his face the whole time as I suggested “using profanity at a paying customer isn't wise”. He then replied, “you’re not paying customer anymore, you got your refund. I’ve already contacted the owner in an email about this situation and was told it would be handled accordingly. Terrible for a first...
