My fiance and I ordered delivery December 17th, 2015 at 8:15pm. A guy took our order over the phone. We ordered two philly cheesesteak sandwiches w/ fries and drinks, came out to a penny under $16.
I was given a call back to tell me to meet the delivery person downstairs by the office to get my food. I understood, as this hotel locks it's doors at 7. We have had to stay in a hotel this week due to our apartment building being worked on.
So, she shows up with 2 boxes of food. I hand her a $20, say thank you, and turn to walk away to realize she had not given me our Sprite sodas. I turn back to tell her this.
She scurries back to the door and says she will be right back with them. I say ok, she goes to leave, then turns back around, mumbles something, drops 2 singles on the floor, picks them back up, and says, "How much can sodas be here?" Being my first night staying here, I said, "I don't know, come in- it's right here." She hands me $2 and says "It's fine. GOODNIGHT! ENJOY!" Then hurries out the door, back to her car.
Firstly, sodas cost $1.75 each here, and they only carry Pepsi products, which we do not drink. I tried to call the store back 3 times. They picked up twice, put me on hold without even saying a word, then hung up on me. The third time they just let it ring. Their shop was listed as open until 9:00pm, and it was only about 8:35.
I left a voice message explaining the situation the third time, when they just let it ring, and said that I would like for them to call me back. They did not. I would appreciate it if a manager would give me a call, and correct the situation or at least apologize. My name is Julie. I recorded a message around 8:45pm. Very upset with this experience and if I do not hear back soon, I will not be visiting again, except to speak with a manager. I will be advising others to avoid it, as well.
Bad business, bad service. It's too bad because we did enjoy the food. Washing it down with overpriced sodas we did not want- not so much. Called a ridiculous amount of times because clearly that’s what I had the time to do while waiting for a pizza that never arrived. No voicemail. It told us the pizza was being delivered for over two hours. Still haven’t got the pizza. And now the system tells us the pizzas delivered. We received zero phone calls zero knock on the door is zero communication whatsoever when it comes to getting our pizza from our delivery guy. I’d really appreciate if you guys could rectify the situation. Or if you guys could reach out to me personally and try to absolve the situation at hand. When I called I asked if there was any dairy free cheese and was told no, then when I showed up to pick up my order (only 10 min later!!) they had remembered that they just ordered dairy free cheese, so they made me two pizzas (one without cheese, one with the vegan cheese) to try both. They were both incredible, and I am so astounded by the commitment to kindness and outreach to people with dietary restrictions and allergies. They were also sure to cut the pizzas with a clean knife so as to not cross contaminate. Things like this REALLY make you stand out from the crowd as a great business, and we’re so excited to continue to order here!
