Laundry Yard — Local services in Lakewood

We loved laundry yard until we were shocked at the way we were very unprofessionally handled today. We were using their laundry service about twice a week to handle our linens from our airbnb for months. A very large drop off of ours was given to a different person not affiliated with us over a week ago. About $200 of linens and towels.

The staff said they will look into it with the manager and owner. I over heard other calls my husband made to them to follow up and it was taking a whoel to look into it, and ask the owner etc. Today my husband called to ask nicely "what's the plan" to the owner who was short and hasty with him from the start and said "the staff told the me that you were making accusations saying they stole it etc." My husband denied and explained that he did not.

English is his second language so he must have been misunderstood in trying to make clear that we or anyone we know did not pick up - even though the manager insisted to my husband that "you know her." The call with the owner John left my husband very confused and shocked.

We have had nothing but calm and professional interactions with the staff until today where we were accused of being hostile and told to "never come back". With a follow up text after the call tell my husband that the staff doesn't feel safe and if he ever returns the police will be called.

They have a right to ask us not to return but the way everything was handle was very dramatic and unprofessional. There was no way we would return anyways with risk of our laundry being given to another customer.

This was one of the most unprofessional interactions we have ever had with a business. Due to the extreme reactions of us asking what happened and "what's the plan." I can only assume there must be some sort of very stressful situations going on to cause such a huge overreaction. Yet it was uncalled for and very unprofessional, we and the houses we manage will never use this...

This place was a great laundry service until recently. I have come here every single friday for over a year and a half until they recently employed a man who does nothing but blast his music so loud that you can't even speak to him when you need help. On one occasion, he had 3 people sitting out in his Van. Smoking weed coming back and forth into the laundromat.. Like others said he has a dog that constantly lays on the floor and comes up to you while you're trying to do your laundry or speak to him. There are times i've come in there's dryer sheets all over the floor I almost fell. He takes up almost every single small washer to do other people's laundry and does not stay on top of his duties. But today was my last straw, I went to put my laundry in one of the washers. Two of them were caked with dog hair.The third one I tried to use had laundry soap in it. I have sensitive skin and allergies. I can't have anything but my own laundry soap to wash my clothes. When I yelled over the music about this for him to clean the 3 washers, he took a wishrag wiped all of the laundry soap all over the place.It got into my laundry basket.It's still on the washers. The floors are disgusting They're never clean the bathroom's never clean. I will not use this place anymore... For over a year and a half, there have been other employees that have managed to keep this place clean.Keep the washer smelling good and clean and help you whenever you need it to.Without having to scream over music. I will also be calling the owner on monday morning and going over this...

I’ve unfortunately visited plenty of laundromats in my lifetime. Some being pleasant, clean, and quiet, while others have been the complete opposite.

Laundry Yard is beyond the best laundromat I’ve ever used across states stretching all the way from Ohio. It’s insanely clean. If you decide to stay inside while your clothes are washing or drying, you’ll notice the staff cleaning every inch of the machines after every use. It’s refreshing & reassuring to see. As far as being pleasant, the gentleman Dave opened the front door for me as soon as he seen me get a laundry basket out of my car. Talk about service… It’s also located in a decent area. There’s no “riff raff” you have to worry about inside, outside, or around the laundromat if you decide to get something to eat while you wait.

Unfortunately, I don’t have my own washer/dryer hookup in my apartment. My apartment community does have their own washer & dryers on each floor, but the cleanliness of this place is unmatched. Until I move up in life and I’m able to own my own in-apartment washer/dryer, I’ll be using...
