Took me sometime to write this simply because I had to process it all before I spoke on the situation. I’m unsure if it was racially motivated but the experience we had here was horrible. On 6/28 we entered TCC with a party 7. All was well until the food started to come out. Our server, Vivian, handed out the wrong meals. While everyone was digging in we realized our orders were all mixed up. Mind you hands had been in these bags already. Vivian did not remove the bags to get them remade or anything she simply took them and placed them in front of the correct individual. That was issue #1 but honestly we didn’t make a fuss about it simply because that would’ve been a lot to be remade. Once bags were received a member of our party found a long dark colored hair on her corn. We brought it to Vivian’s attention and was automatically met with an attitude. No type of acknowledgement of the issue. No apology or anything just a simple “I’ll take it to my manager” she rolled her eyes and walked away. Again no need to fuss about it. Mistakes happen. After several minutes she came back to the table and said she could have it remade. This is where the problem became. After finding a hair in your food a remake is not an option at this point anyone would be disgusted and simply want the food removed completely. She was asked several times to remove the food from in front of the individual in our party and she did not. It was not until the manager was requested to come to our table it was removed. Other members at the table were completely ignored by Vivian no drink refills, no napkins, no butter, no nothing. Mind you we had nothing to do with this situation. The server acted as though it was a problem that a member of our party found a hair in her food. Unacceptable. Seeing that all the other meals were fine I expected that at least the service would be different for the rest of us but it was not. Once done myself and other individuals at our table wanted our bill so that we could just leave. The manager at this time sent over another server who seemed afraid. He handed us the bill and said “could you hand these out”. Why is our job as customers to hand out bills and why was he shaking as it we were something to be afraid of? When it was time to pay my bill after waiting 15 minutes still being ignored I approached another server named Michael who was very kind to see if it was able to check me out so I could leave the restaurant. I must say he was the ONLY one who seemed apologetic throughout the situation even though he had nothing to do with the situation and had no clue what was going on. So I will say thank you once again to him for just doing his job with a smile on his face. We have been coming here for two years and from the way we were treated yesterday we will never return to TCC. A vet, three teachers and a nurse were at that table and the treatment was unkind and to be honest disgusting. The excuse that was giving is she is “new.” I hope that more training will be involved so that this does not happen to...
Read moreI was disgusted by the service and food. As soon as we arrived, we were seated facing the window. When it got too cold, I asked if we could move to a different table in which the sever, Vy, said the restaurant was at "peak rush hour," and that she couldn't move us when there were clearly over 7 tables that were empty. The booth behind us did not have anyone until 5 minutes before we left. Upon ordering our food, the last time we saw the waitress was when we received our fries. We did not see her until the end when she was ready for the check. The food was disgusting. The crawfish chowder barely had any crawfish in it. It was a soup with corn and 2 pieces of crawfish. Then when it came to the shrimp and crab, there was 2 tablespoons of sauce in the shrimp and crab bag. As soon as I opened the bag, the shrimp was tasteless. When I asked for more sauce, the food waiter told me I had to pay an extra $2 if I wanted more sauce. I asked him why I should pay extra when there was barely any sauce to begin with? He took my bag, brought more sauce without any questions, and left. Now, the crab barely had any meat in it, and was barely a cluster. It definitely did not look like a pound of crab but more like 0.5 lbs and definitely less than 2 ounces of crab meat inside the crab. When it was time to pay, I had asked Vy to bring me a manager to speak to, in which she said ok and left. We waited for over 10 minutes for a waiter to come tell us there was no manager. I was astonished by his response. How can an establishment run without a manager? When I asked for the hours the owner would be in, he told me he didn't know. Thus, I asked for the phone number. When I gave the owner a phone call and explained everything to him, the first thing he said was, "there wasn't 2 tablespoons of sauce." And completely disregarded everything else I told him. When I asked what about the service, he said, "you don't like it, don't come back." And when I said I would write a negative review, we said, "It won't hurt my business." And hung up. If you don't care about the customers and customer service you provide, why do you own a business? That was the most unprofessional experience I have ever received in my life and needless to say, I will not...
Read moreI was in Denver visiting family and hungry for lunch, and seafood is one of my favorite things to eat. With the seafood scene in Denver being decent and the number one restaurant on yelp closed I decided to give the second best seafood restaurant in Denver on yelp a try. It defiantly wasn't the best seafood I've had in Denver but it wasn't bad and I would more then likely go back.
When I first walked in the door it definitely wasn't what I expected for a seafood. It had three Asian guys working behind the counter and paper on the tables and everyone eating with there hands. I ordered a glass of water (which was served in a styrofoam cup which I was really disappointed in) blue crab with a side of corn on the cob cajon style mild. (You choose your type of seafood, seasoning and how hot you want it). When it was brought to my table it's served in a plastic bag all together along with a plastic bib and two crab cracking utensils. You eat it with your hands and you your scraps go on the table which is covered with a wax covered paper. This was definitely not a place I would go if you don't want to get something on you, I got really messy eating, which was fun.
When it was all said and done, the blue crab was really good (cooked great), the mild wasn't as spicy as I expected so I would go a little more next time and you could tell the corn on the cob was boiled then sat in water for a while. When it's all said in done I would recommend it for a fun place for a reasonable price, but it's definitely not going to be a go to...
