I cannot say enough good things about this place. My partner and I have been here 2 times already and have LOVED IT. Authentic Italian at more than affordable prices? YES! The service is amazing and I paid $8 for an entire pitcher of Shiner, $14.50 for chicken Alfredo that lasted me two days, bread, a salad (you can also do soup) and a wine sundae. (An ice cream sundae covered in wine sauce , strawberries and whipped cream). We haven't had their pizza yet because their pastas are too good to pass up each time. This is such a wonderful, homemade Italian spot. Like a hidden gem of the highlands!:)
As italian places go, this is a hole-in-the-wall. Don't expect red tablecloths or an extensive wine selection. This isn't a place to dress up and go to dinner. Definitely casual eats at all times of the day and night. However, as we discovered, it's open late! Much later than I would ever expect, midnight most nights.
We sat in this place appreciating the flavor and hoping it never becomes a chain. Oh! I almost forgot to mention you can get homemade Italian sausage, or fully cooked ham for $6.00/8.00 a pd. I haven't tried it yet but all the meat in their pastas have been really good.
Small tip though: the Carl's selection dinner on their menu doesn't give you as much food as the other pastas. It seems like a good idea because you can try 3 entrees in one, but I personally wouldn't...

Unfortunately, our experience was terrible. While I was chewing on my second slice of pizza, I discovered a triangular, half inch, jagged piece of bone. I spit it out and showed it to our teenage waitress. She apologized and took the piece of bone to the kitchen. End of story. We weren't looking for a free meal, we just expected someone to care that I might have choked or sliced my throat on that sharp hunk of bone. We paid the bill in full, plus tip, left the pizza on the table, and will not go back. It is very disappointing that no effort was made by management to address the situation. Instead of bringing a manager to the table, she brought a box for us to take the remaining pizza home. Yeah, that wasn't gonna happen. Who's bone was it and how did it end up in my pizza? It's clear they don't care about...
