Carnitas El Amarillo — Restaurant in Denver

Had the opportunity to sample several different tacos today at "Carnitas El Amarillo" and am pleased to say they have the best tacos that I've eaten in Denver. Owners are very friendly, the food comes out fast, quality of ingredients is excellent, and the seasoning/taste is very good. I had queso-birria, carnitas, buche, tripa and cuero tacos. The agua de horchata is done nicely with plenty of rice and cinnamon and the salsa with tomate verde is a must topping for your tacos. Also took home their birria ramen, which is tasty as well. They also have desserts and atole, which I did not get to try, because I ate so many tacos. You can also buy meat by the pound and get the cilantro/onion/salsa/tortillas to make your tacos at home. Simply incredible Al pastor tacos. I grew up in south texas and have lived in the PNW for three years where I have had a very hard time finding decent Mexican food. Coming here and finding a taste of home was very refreshing. I ate here 3 days in a row I was so excited. The meat was hot off the stove top, juicy, tender, and very flavorful. The guacamole salsa verde was creamy, tangy, and the perfect amount of spice. The family running the truck is friendly and provides quick and effective service.

One of the best places to get quesabirria! It's so good and delicious here! I would highly recommend it in the combo meal of 3 or 4 with the sopa as well! Been going here for 2 years and it's still one of the best. I haven't tried the other food yet but I believe it to be very delicious. There are no parking spaces available but the streets.
