The wing sauces are amazing and all over the board. You sort of define yourself by which ones you pick, my buddy says. I love when I get lucky and hit a jam band day of background music there, although they surprise you. The lunch special is a great deal, and if you get the 9 wing deal, you get TWO sauces. Mondays are a hidden treasure for IPA beer drinkers, as ALL drafts are $4. And the service is always great, and I will call out Blake as being spot-on for this week's trip. Highly recommend. Great vibe.
Found out Wednesdays are discount can day, and we keep trying to make time for the lunch special. So cool of place with product that delivers. I have also never had less than stellar service here...ever.
Adding since we just went there: Love this place. Remember they do all-day Monday HH, and Wednesday is a cheap can night (with GOOD beers as options). They invest in themselves and have two digital signage menus that are always accurate. The workers who recognize us always say hello. The regulars are always welcoming and nice also. They used to play all jam bands but have phased that out (sad for me), but always play music that elevates the atmosphere. The food. They have a great lunch special with wings and salad, tots, or fries. I recommend getting the fries and picking a wing sauce to dip them into. They always have a sauce or two of the month, and they are almost always inventive and tasty. My go-to sauces are raspberry habanero and bourbon chipotle, but you can't go wrong with any of them. My wife LOVES the jerk and dry rub. If I had to find a negative (hard to do), I wish the bar area was bigger (but I guess that actually makes you appreciate it better if you can get seats). Highly recommend.
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Every single visit gets better. I WILL say that my wife and I love the bar area better than sitting at a table, but we still love the service and the product. Notes from my last visit: -First of all, the raspberry habanero is the best wing sauce on Earth. -On Earth. -Before you order the above, check on the sauce of the month. It is typically amazing. -Their lunch special is great. I recommend it with the fries and buffalo or buffalo bleu wing sauce (order the 9 wings so you get two sauces). -My wife loves any of the dry rubs. I will also say that the garlic parm is pretty good too. -Mondays are a beer drinkers dream. $4 for most premium beers. $4 for premium beer CANS on Wednesday in case you miss a Monday.
Listen, I will probably post about 20 more posts on this place in 2024. I LOVE this place, and you should too. IF, I had to pick one minor complaint, it is actually a compliment. I wish the bar seating area was bigger. But, the flip side of that complaint is that IF you get a seat at the bar, you feel like you beat the system and that you are special for that day. The few times we decide not to go here is when my wife runs in and says there are no bar seats.
Anyway, please go here. Go here for great service, great wings, or great mojo. You will leave happy regardless of what you were searching for.
MY MOST RECENT VISIT: I just love this place, and you should too. Mondays have a draft special, and we caught the $4 can special (including 16 oz) on Wednesdays today. $10 and $15 (6 wings or 9 plus tots/fries (there is another one, but I can't eat more than 9 wings)) for a lunch special, great background music ALL the time. Raspberry Habanero is my go to sauce, but know they always have a sauce of the month. With 9 wings, you get two sauces, and I went with Garlic Parm today, and wife always loves the dry rub. She does tots and loves them, but I get the fries with a buffalo blue dipping side. They are a true team environment. Rowan was technically the bartender who greeted us, but they rotate in people to check on the welfare of the bar people. They have a fantastic selection of beers, and they have a Pliny the Younger tasting next Tuesday. I definitely recommend, and see you there (I will see you on...
Read moreWell, I now know why they call it Fire on the Mountain and not something like Cool Mountain Breeze Restaurant...WOW! THEY GOT SOME SPICY FOOD!
I wasn't expecting most of everything to have such a spice, but it did. We ordered a burger and tots, and I ordered the southwest chicken salad (I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT), and we ordered a sampler ahead of time. The onion rings, fries, and fried pickles were great! The breading has a slight spice, which made dipping sauces (also spicy) unnecessary, to be honest! Tasted wonderful!
Burger was great, according to my mate, and as I said, I ordered the southwest chicken salad. Everything on the salad would have been amazing, and I'm sure it would have been amazing if it wasn't for the approximately 3 ladles full of whatever the southwest spicy sauce that they dumped on it. Had this been on the side and I had been able to add myself, it would be a great tasting salad. But alas, the salad was completely drowned in this stuff, making it unedible and just bad tasting. The lettuce was literally just a wet limp tasteless veggie on the end of my fork because the amount of sauce was so overwhelming that it was inedlible. I ate about 25% of it and then just finished off the sampler platter instead.
You'll notice I still gave 5 stars. The service was amazing, she ran 8 tables of 4 to 6 people each outside and managed it well, the food expeditor (young man with a brace on his arm) still managed to get numerous orders out all at once and in good time and with a smile, the greeting was great at the door, the atmosphere was wonderful, and like I said, the rest of the food tasted wonderful. It's my mistake for not inquiring more about how the salad was prepared, etc. I just assumed it would be a salad, light and crisp, and with many great flavors, not a bowl of lettuce soup with 3 cups of wing sauce in it!
Btw we were here on a Tuesday at 7 pm, and the place was popping, and the staff were all smiling and having a good time and did very well!

Read moreThis place was pretty awesome!! Located in the highlands neighborhood, it's a cool little spot that feels like a good neighborhood hang, with great food and a nice drink selection! The wait staff was awesome! Very attentive and helpful with all the questions we had regarding the menu! My son and I are indecisive and like to try new spots and let the server just surprise us with our food selections. They didn't disappoint today!! We started with the Buffalo FOTM fries, which are fresh cut fries covered with Buffalo sauce, blue cheese crumbles, and green onions. The fries were hot, crispy, and fresh! Next, the waitress selected the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and The Julio. The Nashville chicken sandwich was a huge hand-battered breast covered in Nashville Hot oil, house made pickle, and served on a fresh brioche bun! We got it with tater tots, and they may have been the best tots I have ever had!! So crispy on the outside. Fluffy and potato-ey on the inside and perfectly seasoned with a house seasoning that is just the right amount of saltiness and a touch of sweet!! They were incredible! The Julio is a Grlled chicken breast, bacon, fried jalapeños, housemade queso, Lettuce, Tamato, Red onion, and a garlic aioli served on a Ciabatta roll. The sandwich was flavorful and tasted fresh. The bread was toasted and still soft and east to eat, which isn't always the case with Ciabatta. It came with fresh cut fries, and they were seasoned in the same house seasoning as the tots, and they were so good!! We also tried the vegan wings with the raspberry habanero sauce since we had never had a vegan wing before, and they weren't bad. I've never had anything like it, so I have no idea if they were a good version or not. To me, they were like a fried meatloaf cube. But the sauce was very good. Spicy with a touch of sweetness. Overall, we were pretty happy with our experience and would definitely recommend...
