Came for the first time with some friends and her parents, and we came hungry! Ordered at the front and the server was very nice and recommended me the chicken parm PASTA. It took about 30-45 for our food to come out. For my friends parents who had come earlier, it took about an hour for their wings.
When they came out with my friends food who had also ordered the chicken parm pasta, they came out with a chicken parm sandwich which we all were confused about. They were nice enough to leave it on the table and let us eat it since at this point we would practically eat anything.
Then about 15 minutes later, my food came out except it was also a chicken parm sandwich, which I remember the server hyping up the pasta up so I was also confused. They then went back to kitchen and continued to say they were “working on it”. It took about 20 minutes for that chicken parm pasta to come out and it was good, but expect a tiny amount of bucatini and definitely a lot of chicken lol. It was very underwhelming. My friends chicken parm pasta had to be wrapped to go because at this point we were all sleepy and tired and frustrated that we just wanted to leave, this was like 20 mins later. They were nice enough to take it off the bill but it was confusing because we kept hearing different stuff from different people like we were going to get a gift card, and they were going to take off the whole bill, etc. but it was nice they credited us for that dish.
Overall, it was good food, not the best and not worth the wait but the sandwiches looked good. Would probably not come again and if anyone’s thinking of going for their first time, I recommend not sitting down for a full service meal, just take...
Read moreGood Afternoon!
I am writing to you to register my disdain for the subject establishment. Although I have not frequented this bar, the last visit I made was, at the very least, disappointing for a rather, although unconfirmed, disturbing reason.
As an African-American in America today and in the current political climate, just to preface, one can be more vigilant and observant regarding how he or she is treated. Thus, when I entered the bar this afternoon, around 1:00 after my Air Force Officer Training, I decided to have brunch at this establishment. I was not greeted, or otherwise acknowledged. I noticed the bartender (Female, late 20s, 5’8’’, brown hair in high bun), however was paying attention to the bar. This is because a trio of Caucasians entered and were immediately acknowledged by the aforementioned bartender. I decided to walk over to Himchuli (which is outstanding.)
If I received this treatment because of the amount of a pigment in my skin, I speak for all reputable people with integrity when I say that this establishment is disgraceful and should take inventory of how they treat people and why. If this establishment has hired people who have any biases towards any protected class, I urge you to seek the guidance of a professional to ensure that you are not spreading, while implicit, hatred...
Read moreThis place is a bit of a hidden gem, if hidden in plain view. You go in expecting a bar with some okay food and instead you're met with a solid menu that has seasonal rotations to keep things interesting.
Their cocktails and menu are unique and the prices are lower then they are at similar restaurants. Also worth mentioning are their wings. I'm not really a wing fan, grabbed an order of six for my wing loving husband and I was absolutely blown away! The dry rubs are phenomenal as are the sauces.
We also got the red velvet chicken and waffles, a very unique twist on a popular and sometimes overdone Colorado favorite. The sauce was a bit sweet (duh, cream cheese frosting), but that meant it paired even better with the chicken and bacon.
Their burgers are also great, and they don't skimp on quality or quantity for the price. Also, the fries are incredible. Whether you're going seasoned, sweet potato (recommend it with the chipotle aioli sauce), or garlic and parmesan their fries make a statement. They're not just an add on for a burger meal, they're very enjoyable alone.
Skip Park Burger, which is a chain, and give Mead St Station a try. I promise you won't be disappointed.
Plus, they made the transition to carry out smooth...
