More retail spaces are about to go vacant. Pizzeria Locale, a beloved Colorado-based restaurant known for its Neapolitan-style pizza, announced today that it will cease operations starting next Monday (July 10), closing all five of its Denver locations. However, since Pizzeria Locale is owned by the burrito chain Chipotle, its employees will simply transition to working at Chipotle locations—no need to worry about unemployment in this tight job market. That said, the vibe of a pizzeria differs greatly from a burrito joint, and the kitchen setups aren’t compatible. Plus, with a few Chipotle outlets already nearby, these spaces likely won’t be converted directly. The closing locations are: 550 Broadway, Denver 895 Albion Street, Denver 3484 W. 32nd Ave., Denver 7505 E. 29th Place, Central Park 8575 E. Arapahoe Road, Greenwood Village If you haven’t tried their pizza yet, now’s your last chance to savor it before they close—consider it a farewell bite for the memories. #PizzeriaLocale #DenverEats #NeapolitanPizza #Chipotle #FoodieFarewell #LastBite

Having a lazy weekend, the boyfriend and I decided to order a pizza in the early afternoon. After checking out a couple places online, we settled on Pizza Alley. We both agreed to get garlic cheese bread (because why wouldn't we?). We also selected the deep dish with pepperoni and meatballs and I added a slice of the "white face" (with chicken added). The guy on the phone said they normally don't deliver slices but that he would do it. I'm assuming they wouldn't deliver only a bunch of slices, but since we got a couple other things it wasn't a huge deal? I don't know, but I was grateful because I'd already gotten my hopes up. The estimated delivery time was 35 minutes and it was right around that. The slice was really yum. It was a decent size and savory combination of flavors (I mean, olive oil and ricotta on a pizza? I'm sold). The deep dish was definitely satisfying. The meatballs added an unexpected taste that you don't normally get on a pizza but in a good way. Boyfriend said he preferred a more Chicago style deep dish but that it was still satisfactory. The garlic cheese bread was fine but nothing special. Nice portion though. Considering the modest prices and quality of food, we'll probably order from there again.

I ordered 2 Calzone's and a 14" Cheese Pizza for New Years eve to have delivered. When the food was delivered this is what it looked like when we opened the Calzone boxes. The top is burned black. I know the people at the restaurant had to have seen that it was burned but still boxed it and sent it out. Of course we couldn't call them because they didn't deliver until 9pm and that is what time the store closed. We were very disappointed with our burned food that we received for our New Years treat. Needless to say we are done with Pizza Alley. Time to look for a new place that wants to offer quality food. Hey everyone I tried Old Chicago Calzones for the first time. Iyou have to order it I promise you wont be dissapointed. They dont burn the dough and give you TONS of filling and they season the dough really nice. Pizza Alley you lost a long time customer to Old Chicago. The best!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Went there to grab a quick bite as i have in the past a couple times.. I payed for my food and sat down to dine in quickly.. The people behind me in line both got their salad and pizza before i even got my salad.. When the guy, Brian, finally brought my salad out, 15 minutes later, I said to him,"Man that took forever." His response was,"Uh yeah we're kinda busy." I don't know who hires a customer service rep who is going to speak to customers in such a sarcastic and disrespectful way?!? I got over it and didn't really mind because it is Saturday and I didn't really feel like sweating the small stuff until the same guy, Brian, brought my spaghetti dish out and literally dropped it on my table extremely loudly. I immediately got up and asked for the manager. I told him the situation with Brian hovering over us and speaking intimidating words toward me. The manager said he would give me my money back. Brian at this point is upset and cursing at me literally, f bombs and calling me gay, and he comes out with his debit card waving it in my face and says," Oh let me pay for it," trying to make me feel uncomfortable and possibly trying to avoid getting disciplined. The manager gave me my money back and being I had been there almost 30 min at this point, I did not have time to go eat somewhere else. So I decided I would eat the spaghetti they brought out for me and I took one bite and was extremely unsatisfied. The noodles were way over cooked, probably from sitting in the back for so long, and the meatballs were definitely not up to par by any means. The only thing on the plate that was ok was the garlic bread. So I ate the bread and once again spoke with the manager and told him the dish was a disaster, Brian the whole time standing there and says," I told you he was going to bring the food back," and the manager follows with," well at least you didn't have to pay for it." First off I payed for it with my time, my patience and my empty stomach, not to mention I tipped them prior to this at the counter and never got that money back.. The worst part was Brian was still working after all this intimidation stuff and mean mugging me while he took other peoples food out. The fact that Brian was able to continuing working after speaking profanity at a customer and the manager basically having to hold him back is beyond me.. Proper managerial procedure for the situation would have been to send him home and put him on probation for his actions if not terminate him. I don't know anywhere else that would have put up with his actions towards customers, so that leaves me to question the management, the staff and the procedure for which the dining room and the kitchen are run by.. Once again, WORST...

I'm very particular about pizza, if it isn't just right its unlikely I'll ever return for another slice. There are only a handful of restaurants in Colorado that can pump out an exceptional pizza and Pizza Alley is one of them for sure.

My husband and I came across this restaurant for the first time not too long ago and we were both very impressed with so many details of this pizza.

We ordered the Pizza Alley special, which traditionally comes with pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, black olives, onions, green peppers, mushrooms and extra cheese but we always add on jalapeños which taste freshly prepared and fire roasted!

While these same toppings can be found on many other quality pizzas found throughout all of Colorado, what sets Pizza Alley aside from everyone else is the cooked to perfection thin but not too thin NY style crust, with a very flavorful marinara sauce, the cheesiest of cheese and quality toppings that aren't stacked too high or too dense. Toppings are great but too much calls for a sloppy pizza and undercooked dough!

What we also really love about this restaurant is the staff, we've never encountered a bad day with them, and their spirit shines through on the food they put out. We've never felt rushed to place our order or eat our pizza, and the staff never seems to be in a bad mood or stressed.

So with that being said, rain, snow or shine, my husband and I will always make time for a dinner date at...
