Hashtag in Central Park is my new gold standard for breakfast in Denver. It’s the rare spot that nails the trifecta: warm hospitality, dialed-in food, and an upbeat vibe that makes mornings feel easy. From the second you step in, the space feels bright and welcoming—clean lines, lots of natural light, and just enough bustle to feel lively without ever being chaotic.
Service is where Hashtag really shines, and my server Yolanda deserves a standing ovation. She greeted me with genuine warmth, read the table perfectly, and somehow managed to be everywhere at once without hovering. Coffee refills appeared right when I needed them, she knew the menu cold, and her suggestions were on point (more on that in a second). Little touches—checking heat levels on dishes, timing mains after my starter, anticipating a side of hot sauce—added up to big hospitality. Yolanda made the whole experience feel effortless and personal.
Food-wise, Hashtag is comfort breakfast with chef brains behind it. The hashes are the star (it’s in the name for a reason), and Yolanda steered me toward the corned beef hash—tender, well-marbled corned beef with crispy-edged potatoes, sweet sautéed onions, and perfectly runny eggs tying it together. Every bite had balance: salty, savory, a touch of sweetness, and that yolky richness. I also grabbed a pancake “for the table” that could easily be a main: fluffy, cloud-light, with a gentle vanilla note and those caramelized edges that signal a proper griddle. The biscuits are the sleeper hit—buttery, flaky, and sturdy enough to sop up gravy without turning to mush.
Portions are generous but thoughtful. You leave satisfied, not sluggish. There’s range here, too: indulgent options (fried chicken hash, I’m looking at you) alongside brighter plates and veggie-forward scrambles. Coffee is fresh and refilled often; if you’re brunching, the morning cocktails are fun without being syrupy. Yolanda’s rec of the spicy Bloody was a winner—clean spice, not a salt bomb.
The room’s energy matches the neighborhood: friendly, family-ready, and equally good for a solo counter breakfast. Turn times are efficient, but you never feel rushed. Even during the brunch push, the flow stays smooth—credit to a team that clearly communicates and cares. I also appreciate the pricing. For the quality, care, and portion sizes, Hashtag is a strong value; you can feel the intention on every plate.
Parking is easy, the location’s convenient, and the consistency keeps me coming back. I’ve had zero misses here, and that’s rare in a city with this many breakfast players. Between the crisp execution in the kitchen and Yolanda’s phenomenal service, Hashtag turns “grabbing breakfast” into a little ritual worth looking forward to.
Bottom line: if breakfast is your happy place, put Hashtag at the top of your list. Come hungry, trust the staff’s recommendations (especially Yolanda’s), and prepare to plan your next visit before you’ve finished your first plate. This is what a neighborhood brunch spot should be: welcoming, delicious, and consistently excellent. Highly...
Read moreWhile staying the night in Denver, I knew my wife and I would be in the mood for brunch. With endless brunch options in Denver, it was a tough choice to make; however, after careful consideration I choose for us to go to HashTAG.
Upon waking in, we noticed that there was going to be a wait, but seeing the bar was open seating - we snagged the last two open seats in order to avoid waiting for a table/booth.
The bartender/waiter behind the counter was definitely swamped but he still gave quality customer service to everyone. Props to him for doing so on a busy Sunday morning!
There were so many good things on the menu that we had to order a few items to try them out.
To start we ordered the biscuits and (pork sausage) gravy and my wife ordered the P.O.G. (Passionfruit, Orange, Guava) Mimosa.
For the main course we decided to order the Colfax ‘wich with hash browns, Chipotle Chicken & Waffles & small Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Hot Cake.
My wife enjoyed the Colfax ‘wich & hash browns.
The biscuits and pork sausage gravy was some of the best biscuits and gravy we’ve had. The buttermilk biscuits provide a nice texture to mix with the hearty pork sausage gravy. Shockingly this didn’t make us feel bloated or heavy like other biscuits and gravy entrees do. Must be the quality ingredients that they use. They nailed it!
My Chipotle Chicken & Waffles were on another level. Simply an elevated experience with their waffle specifically. It had a crunchy exterior while still maintaining a fluffy core. The waffle itself was sweet enough that neither hitter or syrup is needed. It’s very rare that a waffle can showcase a superior taste without the addition of syrup and butter. This waffle is in an the “Elite” category of waffles. The chicken is pretty thin but not a bad size. Their crispy bacon also was a great plus. It’s always a gamble when ordering bacon at a restaurant, but when you get solid bacon - it’s a mood changer!
Finally we shared a small portion of the Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Hot Cake. To say this is a “small portion” is beyond laughable. This thing was massive. I can only imagine the large! I’m very glad though it was that big, because I couldn’t stop eating it. The hot cake itself possesses sea salt caramel undertones that you receive in every delicate bite. In addition, the fluffy hot cake itself was loaded & topped with a plentiful amount of chocolate chips. This was my favorite hot cake to this date.
Overall, this was a top tier brunch option in Denver. Don’t hesitate for a second, go here and...

There’s absolutely no response for me not to as there’s no benefit for me what so ever. I only wish to provide my honest opinion and experience with photos so that review readers and reviewers like myself can read as apart of their decision making. 🙂
We were so excited to finally try this place for my husband’s birthday. We happily waited two hours on the waiting list just to finally try it. Upon entry, the gentleman working the entry podium wasn’t very friendly. We still had to wait a bit for someone to take up to our table. On our way to the table, I was so excited seeing all of the lovely decor and color pops. When we kept walking past the restrooms I got a little curious about where we were actually being taken. We continued to walk around the corner to a bar and sitting area(completely different scene and decor than we hoped for), but then we kept walking. Turned a corner and up the stars. Keep in mind, as we were walking, the place continued to look unkept the further we went. They did have cool art work on the wall while going up stairs. When we finally got to the section they wanted to sit us at, it was awful. No one was up there, it was near restrooms or storage area, the floors l, seat cushions, and tables were dirty and they seemed totally okay with this. We immediately went back down to speak with the hostess at the front but he was definitely super rude. We explained how long we’ve waited and the experience we expected. He stated if we choose not to sit where they placed us, we’d have to wait another while until another table cleared up in the main room. He couldn’t provide an estimated time or anything. At that time, on top of being hungry, my husband’s birthday brunch being ruined, and me being pregnant, I didn’t want to wait anymore. We politely informed him that we’d just find someplace else to dine.
I was so bummed because I’m a big reviewer and rely on reviews myself when selecting places to eat. All the food looked so amazing. I just don’t know if I have it in me to try again. I guess we’ll see the next time...
