Beware the Bombe! I'll start by saying the ice cream here is really good. So good, in fact, that I decided to buy "The Bombe" for my wife's birthday party. Unfortunately, that's where the good experience ended. It was a little weird when the cashier refused to give us the box with the Bombe in it before we paid because we were concerned about the size and how many it would feed and wanted to look at it. In retrospect, I suppose we could have opened it after we had paid and she handed it to us, but we didn't. When the time came to take the Bombe out of the box and serve it to our guests, we were surprised that it appeared freezer-burnt with a lot of accumulated ice on the top. We were even more surprised when the flavors we had asked for (we had been given two choices of flavors) were not what we were given and,, in fact, not even one of the two choices we had been offered! After eating it and polling my guests, I'm still not sure what the flavors were (they have very innovative flavors) but they certainly did not include the cookies-and-cream and peppermint that we expected. I made the effort to return to the store to explain what had happened and the response was, essentially, "huh, that's weird." Needless to say, I was not impressed.

Excellent ice cream. Poor customer service my last several visits (I’m a 2-3x per week customer). Read the other recent bad reviews. I’m not the only one.

I LOVE this place for the ice cream and location, but I’ve been disappointed in their service my last three visits due to really short/standoffish staff. Tonight was the final straw for me to write a review.

They shut down early due to snow, and we got there slightly before they closed with a group of 5. We walked to the door and it was locked, and the person working looked directly at us and walked away - didn’t even come to the door and say anything. Just looked, turned around, and went on doing his thing. This was a minute before the store was allegedly supposed to close.

Just a simple “hey sorry I already closed down!” would have been fine. But looking at us and walking away, with zero acknowledgement , come on dude! Not even a wave or head shake.

Again, this ice cream is 5/5. Outstanding. But service does not impress me like other ice cream in the area lately.

Please work on your human relations! And, for goodness sake, bring back Funfetti pints, not just scoops. It’s the best ice cream I’ve...

edit for those with allergies to food I have gone a total of three times. Honestly the first time was the best. Went last night (5.26.22) to get some ice cream and I got the coconut creme brulee again. Something seemed a bit off with the flavor and it tasted as if they used the same scoop without rinsing it to scoop the cucumber flavor they have. I have food allergies with tree nuts and melons(cucumbers are also a part of of this) when I got back to the place I'm staying at, I had bad feeling in my throat and threw away the rest of the cone. So please make sure to have separate scoop for the cucumber and pistachio ice cream.
