One of our favorite places to go. Great little mom/pop shop. Delicious food, fast service, low key and friendly UPDATE: still one of our favorites but have had a couple misses last few times. They were open on Xmas eve, so we drove down for dinner from Longmont. When we got there 1h before the posted 7pm closing time a t 6, they were already closing so we didn't go in. We'd assumed they didn't have enough business to stay open. We went last night and mentioned that. The guy who runs the front of house said they ran out of food. Very disappointing since we made the 45mile trek and were well on time. I wouldn't even bring it up but they were turning customers away last night at 830 for not having white rice and only doing take out. I know they're trying to cut costs but there's a certain amount of waste that's gonna go into customer service. Food portions are definitely smaller but more importantly, they seem to be skimping on the expensive ingredients like basil, mint and meat. I'd be OK with that but prices went up too so they may start to see some fallout from loyal customers if they don't pay attention. ...
Read moreThey had my order ready pretty quickly and were super nice. I got the drunken noodles with beef, hot, and it was absolutely amazing. The Thai custard and sticky rice with mango was absolutely phenomenal. Possibly the best Thai custard I’ve ever had, even though it didn’t look super appetizing. My knocks here were the appetizers. Both the egg rolls and the wontons tastes kind of… old. Neither were very crispy or warm and kind of had the sitting out since early lunch vibe. The fillings in both also didn’t taste fresh. I had the Tom kha as well as it’s one of my favorite soups and it was so lemongrassy I couldn’t finish it. Parts of this meal were good and if it wasn’t for the mass amount of competition in the Denver area I’d probably go back and try more things but sadly I don’t think I’ll be back again. A fantastic hole in the wall Asian restaurant is called Woody’s Wings n Things off Lowell near Westminster. That’s the level I usually expect and maybe I’m too spoiled from eating...
Read moreHonestly the BEST Thai food in Denver! I am always on the hunt for good Thai food and most places have let me down in one way or another. This place has been on my radar for some time-it’s a very unassuming mom & pop “hole in the wall” type restaurant. The last time we came in, it was going to be an hour wait and I was too hungry, so we went elsewhere. This time it was the same wait time, but we decided to wait it out, and I am so glad we did! All of the dishes we ordered tasted so delicious, full of flavor & spices, and most importantly “wok hei” (IYKYK)! The lady that works there (probably owner) is so sweet and gracious. If you come during rush hours, expect to wait a bit, but I promise you, it’s worth it!! My favorites were the Tom Kha soup, country Pad Thai, and Spicy Thai Fried Rice! My only regret is that we didn’t come sooner. This place has easily earned the spot of my favorite Thai food in Denver and we will definitely be...
