Kung Fu Tea — Restaurant in Denver

I have never had bubble tea before, or boba, but long ago when i was a Hooter’s girl - at the now torn down, but then ‘the’ Denver store, on Colorado Blvd. ‘Lollicup’ had just opened across the street, which girls were constantly bringing in fun colored cups of it - I wasn’t really in the popular group so wasn’t invited on these trips getting it (yeah, that never ends, does it?) I was curious about the tea though! It only took 15 years to try it - tonight, here at Kung Fu Tea.

I got the caramel macchiato slush with boba things - awesome taste, however as it turns out, the texture of the bubbles was making me gag - not usually a texture aversion person, but found myself drinking and spitting out little bubbles..eventually it felt like a waste, so having remained parked outside still, I decided to go back in & ask to have it poured into a different cup - less the bobas at the bottom - I don’t know his name, but the same friendly young man - who had answered my barrage of questions upon ordering - made me a whole new drink without them! I thought that was really really sweet, as really it was my fault for not trying them first, didn’t think to ask - but now I know! Really really yummy though, and I think most people would love them - either choice, with or sans boba, this...

I was so excited to find out that I didn't have to drive 20+ minutes to go to the other location for some KFT. But, I walked into an empty store with 6 workers up front who stopped talking and just stared at my boyfriend, sister and I. They just stopped and awkwardly stared at us in silence while we looked at the menu. I've literally never walked into a food/drink place and have all of the workers stare at me instead of greeting me but sure. We all ordered drinks that we're all familiar with and then it tasted so sweet. Like to the point where I had to hold my breath, take a few sips and then pour water into it just so I can dilute it. So note to self. When I go to the KFT on Hampden to order it regularly and if I ever go back to this one, to maybe order it with 25% sugar. Super...

I tried KFT a few days ago and have been hooked! Until today I ordered four drinks for my family and myself. One of the drinks was a Rose hip lemonade but when I got it they have me a Rose hip milk tea. When telling the gentleman at the counter it was wrong he argued and said I ordered a milk tea. Which I didn't because I've order the same drink for the past few days. He kept arguing and made it super awkward . He finally agreed to remake it but why argue just make it right . His horrible service has turned me completely off and will not be visiting this location anymore even though I really loved...
