Note to self, under no circumstance are we to visit this location in Littleton, CO ever again!!
Picture this... walk in around Thursday 11pm and the restaurant is still open. As you walk in, there are 4 visible employees (bartender, manager, 2 servers) & also 3 small tables in the bar area.
Next, you are greeted by the MANAGER and asked to sit in the bar area. Within a couple minutes, the server comes to the table, and we order drinks/food (10 wings & burger/fries). You enjoy the atmosphere and play the trivia game while we wait for the food to arrive. The MANAGER can be seen walking around thinking everything is going smoothly, seemed very calm.
Food arrives and you go to restroom to wash hands. In the bathroom there are 2 soap dispensers, which you try both on and they are completely empty, like they have been empty for hours as there were no residual soap squirts...
Due to no soap, you go back to your table and let server know, then use personal sanitizer and the wet wipes they give for your hands.
As you eat your food, you look up and see the MANAGER going into the bathroom and does not come out for about 5 minutes. At this point, the restaurant had less than 10 people, because it was 11:15pm.
You then go back to the bathroom to see if someone refilled the soap, nope! I think it is a reasonable expectation that a MANAGER would immediately have the soap refilled, either by himself personally or delegating to an employee. After several minutes, he was still in the kitchen and had not come back out.
Then you go to the bartender and ask to get the MANAGER and have a quick conversation. MANAGER comes out of the kitchen and our conversation begins... ME: hi, did you go to the bathroom when you were inside the bathroom? MANAGER: yes ME: did you wash your hands? MANAGER: yes ME: how did you wash your hands? MANAGER: I washed thoroughly with water and soap. (*he was very confident in saying this) ME: can we walk to the bathroom and I show you something? (he and I walk to the bathroom and go inside) ME: how can you wash your hands when there is no soap, in either dispenser? MANAGER: there was soap when I used it. ME: I tried to wash my hands and there was no soap, which I told my server as I watched you walk into the bathroom. you are flat out lying to me and this is disgusting that you are serving food. we just ate our food! I don’t even have the option to not eat it at this point and we came here because we thought the food here was cooked in a sanitary manner. you as the manager don’t even wash your hands and were just in the kitchen after USING THE BATHROOM. this means that any of your male staff that have come in here, also have not washed there hands, and every male employee has ignored this health department requirement if they have used the bathroom in the past several hours. this is flat out disgusting! MANAGER: (he does not have much to say and knows he has been caught in a lie) ME: you are either going to refund my meal right now or I will take this to corporate. MANAGER: I will give you a refund right now, follow me. he quickly refunds the meal so we can leave ME: please make sure the soap is refilled immediately
NEXT MORNING I CALL AND ASK FOR GENERAL MANAGER to ensure this is not swept under the carpet without the GM knowing, so he can take action.
Then I call corporate and share what happened. The corporate employee is appalled.
Next, I am sharing with the department of health.
To this specific location owner/management team -- people are willing to pay the prices on the menu if they get the service that comes along with it. But when your restaurant is negligent in how you operate food preparation, and does not care about sanitary conditions, that is flat out gross and will not...
Read moreI am a gay man. I am not necessarily obscene or obvious about it. However, I think they are discriminating against my partner and I because we are gay. I have gone in here about 5 times with my partner. 3 of those times, the service was absolutely horrible. We are seemingly forgotten. They take our order, then we sit and wait and wait and wait and nothing. They ignore us. No beverage refills, no food. This is not during busy times, usually, as we don't like the wait or the huge crowds. So, they can't use this as an excuse. The manager is making his rounds asking people how they are doing and completely bypasses us 4 or 5 times in that 45 minutes. We see 3, 4 groups of people larger than just us 2, such as 4 or 6 people - groups that came in after us - get their food while we are there waiting. Then, after I finally complain (which I hate to have to do), we are given some excuse like they lost our order or someone in the kitchen messed up or some other lame excuse. That is bullshit. The manager and servers in any restaurant know that if someone is sitting at a table for an extended period, looking around the room, empty glasses on the table - that something is wrong. And those excuses are not an excuse for and do not recognize the fact that we sat for so long without even getting refills on our drinks. Nothing in the kitchen that is a problem with our order would keep the server from from refilling our drinks, or keep the manager from stopping at our table to ask how we are doing.
This place is anti-gay, in my opinion. It's happened at other BWW restaurants as well, but not as bad as this one. I'm sorry, but it is the 21st century you neanderthals...
I get work to get paid to do my damn job, maybe you should learn to work to get paid too!
I will not be returning. It is a shame, because I love the wings... :(
Maybe I should be calling a lawyer instead and have this...
Read moreI have had 2 terrible experiences at this location within 2 months of one another.
1- We sat down to eat as a group as 4 adults and 2 kids. We waited 2.5 hours in for food. About 2 hours in we received 1 out of 2 appetizers and one person got their food but didn't have food for their child so their food went cold. We politely asked our waitress (who let us know it was her 1st night on the floor so def not her fault) what to expect and she had a manager, Joe, come over and apologize and say he would take care of the drinks we had and get our food out immediately. 10 more minutes and I asked if our friend could get new food because he did not want to eat in front of his hungry child. I was told by said manager that we no longer wanted our food. We most definitely never said that and we 100% considerate during this entire experience. Well 80% of our food came out another 20 minutes later. By the end of it all, they comped out everything. Thank you 👏 waitresses were awesome and trying to be as helpful as possible but we felt SO bad for them.
2- We decided to give them another shot because we were going to pick up the food. Estimated time was 7:10. A 50 min wait. My husband went in exactly at that time. After 30 minutes, I called him and he said he heard someone say "2 hours for any orders" I called and the girl said it to swing by in 15 minutes and I let her know my husband had been waiting in there for 30 mins. She said a manager would be approaching him with a discount or gift card she wasn't sure-didnt happen. Well he said after I called, they instantly had our meal and pulled it from the hot box that no one had been checking. Our order was missing the sauces.
Idk where the problem is with this specific location but...
