I personally dont like to give a negative review but this place was disgusting the food there was absolutely terrible. I do not recommend this place to anybody they have terrible service to the client's and do not care for food safety. There frezer is in plain sight and i was sitting down in view of it and i seen that it was i faul condition and there were chunks of meat falling out of the freezer. I ordered 3 tacos of al pastor and let me tell you they are the most under cooked and plain meat ive ever tasted I also asked for not cilantro or cebolla and i got nothing but cebolla the meat there is in chunks and when i removed and the cebolla it was just 3 chunks of meat. The meat there is also chewy and faul tasting. I took my dad to eat there and he ordered 2 gorditas of egg and chicken and they were the most greasy gorditas ever they were cold and had no flavor what so ever im pretty sure that those eggs and chiken have been there for days because they were cold and dry and over all terrible. This place was so dirty the booths were not clean and the place were you get the condiments dirty people just stick there hand in there and get what ever they need. I highly do not...
Read moreWe came here based on the reviews. There was some apprehension from the two Boulderites and the Denver suburbanite as well as a few confused glances when we went inside. The place is tiny and the food was displayed front and center, similar to Chipotle or Subway. You order from the banner menu over the food, they make it and call your name. My three friends all ordered taco plates (x4) and shared the different meats while I ordered enchiladas.
The food is so good. And fresh. Everyone agreed. After the initial trepidation had passed the entire group had nothing but good things to say about the place.
Sodas were bottle or can, out choice, and the good Mexican kind with real sugar, not HFCS. The salsas were hot, medium and mild. The atmosphere reminded me more of some Mexican diners I'd been to in non-resort areas of Mexico and less like a typical restaurant. That is to say, you can tell they were running the place on a budget.
I, personally, didn't use the restroom but the single girl (one of the Boulderites) who did said it was very clean, more so than more mainstream restaurants.
If I'm ever near that part of Denver and looking for good Mexican food, I'd...
Read moreThe location is in older area , the lady was very friendly and welcoming upon entering with a greeting. Quite courteous and helpful suggestions.
They have a menu and also several choices of stews and eats from line. Since I chose gorditas mot of options were there wanted something fairly quick to eat.
I ordered a birria gordita and Chile Rojo and al pastor( pork) I believe. Also ordered cha.purrado for the chilly weather that day.
All I like to order with some beans as it makes for more balanced meal incase of dry meats definitely would suggest.
The gorditas were good and while I usually wouldn't orde a Berrian gordita I was curious. It all depends how soft and noist the beef will be the initial bite was the case but was delicious after.
The champurrado was hands down the best champurrudo not clumby very nice consistency that maintained its consistency and flavor. I was able to perceive a very unique flavor and overall was deliciulous. I would return for the...
