This was a phenomenal bakery and one I anticipate going back to several times. I am going to break down each thing I had and all the parts of my experience.
The online presentation is clean, and the website is easy to use. This is really important as all orders need to be placed through the website, THERE IS NO STORE YOU WALK INTO TO ORDER. I emphasize that as this is not a place you should anticipate walking into to sit in and enjoy pastries and coffee. All of the pictures I've seen are of the old location. The new location has a front room with a few tables and not much else. See pictures for reference. You can't walk up to a glass case and pick out your pastries. There is no cafe vibe, but there are tables and seating to eat your food right there.
The location was a little hard to find as it is right off of the road with not much around. Once it is found, though, the food inside is worth it.
I have celiac disease and was extremely excited, so I ordered a lot of food. I got 6 donuts, including the Bavarian creme donut, jelly donut, apple fritter, pumpkin patch donut, the classic donut, and was kindly given a cinnamon or I belive churro donut. I also ordered a canoli, cinnamon roll, beingets, and the honey bee bagel sandwitch on an everything bagel.
I placed my order online, and a lovely woman came and bought it out from the back to the seating area for me. The bagel sandwitch was fresh and warm, so I proceeded to eat it for breakfast. When I say alone this bagel sandwich is worth coming back again and again, I am not exaggerating. This sandwitch alone would be a reason to return. I work night shift and sleep during the day, and I would wake up early to make it to Moore Bread Bakery for that bagel sandwitch.
I ate the beingets when I got home, bringing them to my southern mother to check for authenticity. Moore is a 40-minute drive in no traffic from my house, so with daytime rush hour, the powered sugar was a little cakey when I got home, I note this for my mother's comments. I personally loved them, but I have never had a beinget as I've been celiac for 20 years. My mother said they did not taste quite fluffy and right. I'd still eat them again.
The canoli is something I have also never had before. Personally, I felt it had okay flavor, but it wasn't for me. If you like canolis, though, this may be a great option for you!
As for the doughnuts, they all tasted great. The jelly doughnut was my favorite, followed by the apple fritter, the classic, the cinnamon, the pumpkin patch donut, and the Bavarian cream in last place. All of them were good doughnuts, personal taste is how I'm ranking them. The dough was tasty, the fillings were good and plentiful, the frosting was great, and the presentation was nice.
I have not eaten the cinnamon roll, as I purchased it frozen to eat with family at a later date. It, however, is packaged well with the frosting in a cup on the side, which I like.
Overall, my experience was great. I do wish there was more ambiance and more of a cafe/bakery vibe, but with the way the economy is, I'm glad this bakery is available to us at all. The food is stellar, the baked goods never made me feel sick with my celiac, and overall, I got to try a lot of gluten-free foods offered nowhere else.
I'd rate this a solid 4.5/5 if I could. I look forward to...
Read morePlease don’t shy away from this place because it’s ’gluten free’; I promise it’ll be some of the best breakfast and donuts you’ll ever have! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming not to forget the cozy set up they have outside to enjoy your meal in a nice Sunday morning! We ordered: -Strawberry Matcha latte: 10/10! This was refreshing, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness! -Iced Latte: 10/10! The perfect pick me up and milk to expresso ratio. -Honey Bee: 12/10 Perfect savory breakfast sandwich! The honey gives it that perfect touch of flavor to amp the rest of the flavors combined -Morning Sizzle: 12/10 Cannot go wrong with an almost classic breakfast sandwich, but better!! The chipotle aioli and chive combo bring this one to a whole different level of flavor! Even my nine month old devoured part of my sand which because it was so good!l and not spicy at all. -Boston Crème Donut: 1000/10 I have never tried a donut this delicious in my life, ever. It was pure perfection. Fried but not oily. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and that crème filling?! You can taste the unique ‘homemade’ flavor that is not overpoweringly sweet that keeps you wanting more! I’m sad I didn’t order two.

Read moreThis is hands down the best place for gluten free donuts and bagels in the city. The ciabatta bread is the most delicious thing I have ever had. The staff are all lovely and wonderful. It makes it so I don't mind the premium prices and long waits on busy weekend days.
All that being said, the customer experience is miserable. The only way to know what donuts are available is to push through the line of people waiting to order and the hoard of people waiting for their food. The pick up window is deep inside so if you're waiting outside you can't actually hear your name being called so people crowd in waiting for their food or bunch up right at the door causing awful congestion. All the waiting outside is great in the summer but what will we do in the winter? I'm hoping they will do something to address this, better signage outside for what is available so people don't have to go in unless it's their turn, even possibly taking orders outside when it's nice and bringing them out since the space is so small. The set up is the worst part which makes the vibe there stressful.
I would never suggest it as a place to meet up with my friends as there is very limited seating and I definitely wouldn't take meetings there but maybe that is their intention, a small space for pick ups only - not the worst thing - especially if they can address the guest...
