Now Black American West is a monument of our history, cram-full of fascinating objects with endless stories.
From its beginnings focusing on Black cowboys, miners, Buffalo Soldiers, and rodeo riders, it now showcases Black people of any profession, who figure in Western history.
It is also ideal for small gatherings, lectures, filmings, even a bit of craftmaking for children.

When I went they had exhibits about notable Black history in medicine, mining, ranching, homesteads, and military. The building itself has historical significance and the story of how they moved the building to its current location was incredible.
