I just had the weirdest experience here. First time coming so I kept it simple and ordered a bagel sandwich from the menu and an iced coffee. The girl at the register looked pretty confused and said “iced coffee or iced latte”? So I said “iced coffee”. She said ok, rang me up, and got me her version of an iced coffee which was really just a plastic cup of hot coffee with 4 tiny ice cubes in it, and then she ran out the door. Maybe on break or her shift was over idk.
I’m slightly annoyed because this really isn’t what I ordered and the girl just literally ran away after handing it to me, but I’m on my way home anyway, I’ve got ice there, so it’s an easy fix. I wait for my bagel sandwich and then head home. Fill my cup with ice, pour my coffee on top, take a drink….it is FOUL tasting coffee. I wonder if something is wrong with me, I’m normally not too picky about coffee, so I take another drink. Big fat nope, that is some nasty undrinkable stuff so I pour it out. Then it hits me, I think she gave me an entire cup full of espresso concentrate that they use to make lattes. At least that’s my guess? It’s the only logical explanation, no clue how else they could possibly make a cup of coffee that tasted so gross. Read moreI was excited to see Moe’s opened up off Colorado as I’ve liked their bagels since my college days in Boulder. I ordered 3 bagels for an online order. Got home to find my Garlic, Onion, and Asiago bagels were all just plain bagels. Called the store to see if there was anything that could be done as my order was not correct and was told that, “I’m pretty sure our website says if your bagel is not available, it will be replaced with a plain bagel so I can’t give you a refund.” I would feel better if the store was bustling when I picked up my order and no one had a chance to mention the change to my order. There were no other customers in the shop when I picked up and no one said a word. They also could have simply picked up the phone before prepping my order and let me know vs me figuring it out when I got home 15 minutes later. Only point of constructive, vibe and attitude of staff feels too “Starbuckyish” …before you know it they’ll all want union cards ….hope this company protects and maintains its brand, it has a great product and distribution operation but should focus on the broader customer experience, no objection to personal expressions but it’s hard to process a 1 inch nose ring at 9am in the morning, even though the person wearing it was nice enough and I offered respect, but can a choice be made to NOT wear it while working?
