If I could give zero stars I would. The food is mediocre at best. We placed an order for delivery and we received the wrong food, then called to see about swapping it out and they said I had to come in person because the delivery guy wouldn't be able to come back. The whole reason for getting delivery is that at the time I was unable to drive my vehicle and it's convenient to have someone deliver. Well they agreed to swap out the plates only if we went in person. I notified them it would have to be the following day because my car was in the shop. So time goes by and I forgot about it ended up throwing the plates away we couldn't eat them. (We don't eat pork)
So we ordered from them again today but this time went in person picked up the order and started to leave but I noticed the receipt said $49, they had handed my daughter the wrong order again! We only ordered one plate and they gave us two plates. It went from $9 to $49. So I go inside to fix it and see if they did indeed charge me that amount. So he said they would refund me and it would go back to my card, whether or not its true remains to be seen! So we get the correct order and pay for it. Since I'm there I asked about the plate they messed up prior to this and if they were still going to honor it? The owner/cook a short little guy with gray hair started getting loud and yelling at me he said they never make mistakes and that he wouldn't replace it because who was gonna pay for it?
I reminded them of the first incident and he then said oh yes I did replace it but you didn't pick it up! You didn't notify us that you weren't coming. I explained that I could not pick it up and I had definitely communicated this to the person on the phone, but he didn't care and tried to get in my face.
The problem here is that the people who answer the phone and take orders are in one location and the ones cooking, ringing u up or delivering are the actual ones at the restaurant and there is a huge disconnect! On the phone they are nice and courteous but in person they are rude and loud. They promise one thing but then you gotta battle it out in person with the old men.
No we didn't get the first order replaced, and that day we didn't even get to enjoy our meal we settled for getting pizza delivered as my money went to waste and the wrong plates sat in my fridge for at least three days then went straight into the trash.
As for today, upon getting home with the plate that was ordered and finally corrected, midway through the meal my daughter found a long black hair in it? Hmm revenge? Maybe and that's a low blow. Neither I nor my daughter have long black hair. Mine is blue and hers is red. So again I call and they said they will replace it if we go in person. I stated to them that I would rather have it delivered as I didn't care to once again see the owner but they said it's not possible. This plate is going into the trash and I'm sure I won't get any of my refunds at all!!!
BEWARE, steer clear of China...
Read moreI generally try to speak to the good before the bad when leaving a review. The good: The man who made the delivery was very polite. They filled the bag with enough soy sauce and hot mustard to fill the bathtub and have a wild night with the wife.... If you're into that kind of thing.. The hot mustard stings a little at first but eventually it's more of a tingle which is quite invigorating. The bad: They took 1.25 hours to deliver. There were no fortune cookies...... NONE!!?!! I'm fairly certain this brings dishonor to the business. The concoction they called Hot & Sour soup was awful.. Tastes like they used vinegar that'd had been used to steep dirty socks filled with ginger... I couldn't even put my finger on all the flavors in the soup that were bad, but it was sweeter than it was hot and I'm sure they traveled to the 9th realm of hell to retrieve the ingredients. That's just the flavor.... The consistency was horrendous. It's like the 1960's "make everything savory with jello" cookbook never left their kitchen. You generally drink or "slurp" soup. If that's your thing, don't order this soup. You've got to suck this soup like a jello cup. Got orange chicken and sesame chicken. Both chickens, cooked a bit different were very dry for something sitting in a pool of sauce. The family meal comes with 3 entrées and 1 little carton of rice..... 1 carton of rice for the whole thing.. Despicable.... Overall flavor was bad. Way over priced for the flavor and quality. NO FORTUNE COOKIES!!!!! Some people need those slips of paper that lie to them and reassure them that everything will get better and one day the stars will align.. They're essential for the American Chinese food culture. And some claim to have won the lottery using the lucky numbers. This place robbed us of that opportunity and my false sense of future prosperity!!
All in all.. I will definitely not eat here ever again and for those considering it... I have never eaten Chinese (delivery, carryout dine in, or even dollar scoop for that matter) that this place even comes close to. By far, worst Chinese food I've ever had.
That being said, there's still hope. If they can fix the flavor, all other issues are trivial. Except the fortune cookie thing. That's a sin. Good luck in advance to all who dine here. You're certainly not going to get the luck from a...
Read moreBad experience overall. When I called I told the lady on the phone that I wanted the Rice Noodles with shrimp (number 608) on the menu. She then asked "You want the fried rice?" I then said no, rice noodles. She then said, "hold on, let me see if we actually have that". I then proceed to wait and then she asks me, "What number is it listed under on the menu" I said, "608". She then said "'OK", and then I ordered the crab cheese Rangoon and an order of egg rolls.....that was at 7:30PM.
At 9:00PM they still had not arrived, and I called. I let the man that answered the phone know it had been an hour and a half and my food wasn't there. He then said, "Oh, its because our printers weren't working, so the kitchen got your order late." I then asked, "Well how long will it take?" and he was like, "he should be there within minutes, OK? Bye" AND THEN HUNG UP!
Food came 10 minutes after that, and guess what? It was NOT RICE NOODLES. It was shrimp fried rice that was VERY dry. The eggrolls were good, and the rangoon was alright. I tipped the driver since all of this wasn't his fault, but, I will never order from this...
