Panaderia y Taqueria Chihuas — Restaurant in Denver

Edit on 2/25/2025: Deducted one star after about 5 visits to the panaderia. The one thing that bothers me is that there is no prices on the bread, I've had to ask for prices. I need to see what I'm paying for before I pay for it, I've also had to ask for my receipt to see what I actually paid for

This panadería is the bees knees, I can only review that because I haven't eaten at the restaurant

Alright, first of all before anything else, the guy that I talked to when I went in (around 11 am), was extremely hospitable and took the time to greet me and tend to any questions I had, he also took the time to explain the bread that was on display and the differences between them, you can tell he is passionate about what he does, it was refreshing

The sole reason I came here is because my dad happened to bring home some bolillo one night, I tried a piece and instantly knew this was my favorite bolillo, and I've tried a few from other stores but this one, oh this one is crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside and it smells so good and bready lol 🤤 it also toasts extremely well in an air fryer, mouth watering while writing this

After moving from AZ I was on the hunt for an awesome Mexican food place. I’ve been here a few times and the experience is consistently terrible. Flies in the pastry case, orders are incorrect, overcharged or charged for things I didn’t order. It seems like their regulars get taken care of just fine, I’m extremely polite and tip every time I come in but this doesn’t make a difference. Against my better judgment I suggested getting breakfast here this morning and brought a group of people in. We waited for a crazy long time for a few breakfast burritos, while people that were behind us in line were served as we were still waiting (this is typical, like I said they take care of their regulars). Got back to the house and of course didn’t get what we ordered, ended up spending $30 for 3 burritos and 3 pastries, receipt is in Spanish so not really sure what I was charged for and if you email a copy to yourself at the register all charges in English say “custom amount” what a joke. Not ever coming here again, I’ll spend my money with businesses that appreciate...

First thing, the prices they show at their menu is different from what they charge you, when I called to ask about it, he told me "we are a small bussiness that dont have the time to be updating our info everytime we rise or change the prices" for me it is a really bad or non reasonable excuse " then they charge 2dlls extra per taco if you add cueritos to your regular taco so you end paying 4.49 per taco, I have no been charge that much for a taco on any other place. Plus I will recomend some customer service class to the man who attended me on the phone call, because I could see he really doesnt know how to deal or answer to customers. Especially when he said things like" you should know eating is expensive, I dont have time to...
