Blackjack Pizza & Salads — Restaurant in Denver

I never write reviews or have had to call a place back demanding for a refund until now. This place is just awful and thought this last bad experience of many was worth sharing.

We waited over an hour for delivery which is common in this area. There's a lot of people around so it's understandsble, but you could imagine how hungry everyone was at the point of delivery.

When the driver knocked and yelled "pizza!", we yelled "just a second" to get our barking dogs away from the door to let him in. He continued to yell out over and over and over again for the next few seconds, freaking the dogs out even more. When we opened the door he started complaining to us about how our doorbell doesn't work (as if he thought with his screaming, and our dogs barking at the door and window, that we didn't know he was out there).

Now it's finally time to eat, and we find a droopy raw dough pizza underneath some melted cheese. This wasn't us being picky. The pizza was straight up uncooked and wasn't safe to eat.

We called the driver (who called us to find the house) and told him about the pizza in hopes that he would say something to his manager, but he just began arguing that "he didn't make the fking pizza" and called us mother fkers.

When we called the location, we got to speak with the "manager for now" who kept saying he couldn't refund us. It wasn't until 10 minutes after arguing and mentioning going to the GM that the man finally refunded the pizza (which he said before he couldn't do)

I really hope someone from the health deparment happens to see one of these pizzas like I had and shuts this place down....

Literally chewed over my response before posting. Delivery: timely, but the delivery driver scoffed at me for not leaving a tip... despite the automatic 4.00 delivery fee! (If the driver doesnt get the full amount or at least half of that per delivery no wonder he was upset) Pizza toppings (peppers and onions) satisfactory neither ample nor skimpy. A good diced size so toppings are spread over evenly. Wings.... no crispy skin which is THE ONLY REASON YOU EAT CHICKEN WINGS. i dont mean they were crispy when made and got soggy while delivered.... the wings were basically just cooked through and thats it. 3-5 extra minutes frying would have turned 3 stars to 4. This place wouldve gotten 5 stars if: pizza toppings and cheese went further to the edge. 2. wings were crispy not soggy. 3. extra hot wings were actually extra hot and not a lame medium spice with no character or soul. 4. Delivery drivers scoffing over me not tipping when theres a $4 automatic delivery tip. If the driver doesnt get at least half that fee (for a 2.2mi trip) the driver should scoff at the boss not the customer. In summary: Blackjack Pizza in the future is a VERY last resort not a...

This is the place to order from if you have time to burn and absolutely love cold pizza. The driver was super nice and courteous and the pizza was actually okay once it was microwaved after they delivered it to my hotel which is the only reason why I gave it an extra star. As someone else stated in a previous review I ordered online and was told I would receive it at around 40 minutes from the time I placed my order. After giving it another 30 extra minutes beyond the quoted time I ended up calling the store to see if my order had left and was told that it was already out for delivery. I finally ended up receiving my order about 45 minutes after that conversation with the store. The pizza arrived just shy of 2 hrs total from the time I placed my order and as to be expected it wasn't even warm when it was delivered. It actually looked and felt like it had been sitting out on a countertop somewhere during my delivery wait. Might be worth it to just go and pick it up if you aren't wanting to roll the dice...
