Beginning to end. Walk in on Saturday, there is no hostess. I stand there waiting in an empty restaurant with two tables dining. The bartender doesn't greet or look at me. I wait until the manager or someone comes up from the back to seat me. Once seated the waiter, taller dark hair and glasses, comes and doesn't even greet. He asks us what we want to drink, when we say just water he looks displeased. No introduction no name. We get an appetizer, drops it off, and walks away. We sit there until our chips and salsa is done before he comes to check on us again to order dinner. This is well over 5 minutes later, remember only two other tables currently at this time. So not busy at all. We order our food and inquire about some dishes which he seems annoyed to answer. We get our food, the presentation looks nice. I eat the ahi taco, half way through which is two bites, my stomach gets nauseous. I have to eat slowly to finish my meal as now I feel unwell from the food. The waiter didn't check on us once throughout the meal except bringing a water jug over. After all this we sit and wait, having to flag our waiter down as he hangs out at the bar. Our meal was done for several minutes and we are waiting on the check. Finally I flag him down and he comes over so I can pay. As I'm sitting in a booth seat, he stands uncomfortably close and watches for me to enter a tip amount. My partner said he was intently starting at the screen. No farewell or pleasantries.
Between the lack of customer service and the food being sub par, I will not be coming back. Their bulgogi meat is ground beef! Do they consider it bulgogi because they just add the sauce to it?
No wonder this place was empty on a...
Read moreWe tried the chicken and waffle taco at Chicken Fight and they were fresh, hot and delicious. That is what I expected at the actual location. Nope, it was cold af like some day old mess they just tossed on the plate, tortillas and all. They forgot a single taco we ordered and the coconut shrimp ones looked different from the picture and again was expecting them hot because coconut shrimp is usually battered and fried. All cold. The waiter said they were short staffed and to expect a longer wait time so we were fine with that, but to then be met with less than mediocre food was ridiculous. They also added a 4% culinary appreciation charge on the tab for the ceviche an extra $2.85 on top of the already $13.50 price, they didn’t even have hot sauce for it! What taco place doesn’t have hot sauce? Just salsa. It was $4.50-$6.50 per taco, we left 2 with bites taken out and 2 untouched, I wouldn’t have eaten the 2 I did, but my blood sugar was low and I hadn’t eaten all day. It was not hitting whatsoever. The Dr. Pepper tasted flat and weird, the service was practically non existent, but then we paid with $100 and the guy had the audacity to say would you like me to bring change for this? As if I was going to leave a $25 tip at that point. I asked for change he only brought a $20 and five $1s, so I asked him to break the $20 and he said he couldn’t. So I left him less than I was going to originally. It was a nice setting, but otherwise an underwhelming experience. Try at your own risk. We...
Read moreI don’t get it. Why all the good reviews? The ceviche was terrible. Was hard to find a piece of fish. The salsa was terrible. The Buffalo skirt steak was full of tough grizzle and overdone. The steak was overdone and flavorless. The squash taco of the month was not very good. The mocktail called Berry Smash had no smash and was nothing but syrup and water. My BF had better luck with his items that were smothered in cheese. Seems they make up for poor quality food by putting a bunch of cheese on everything. He thought the taco Tuesday deal was worth it for the margarita even if the tacos were not good. I am GF DF and the server was not helpful in that regard. She said I only needed to stay away from the carnitas. But then everything else I asked about had gluten in it too - the tuna, the po’ boy, the fish taco, etc. Turns out much less of the menu was GF than she said. Also when making the items DF they basically just gave me a bunch of meat on a soggy taco - didn’t even bother to jazz it up with slaw or anything. The horchata was the best thing I had. But even that was not great - way too sweet and not a well rounded flavor. Will not...
