Very disappointed in the service here. It started off as a good night nothing spectacular service was okay but we only had a table of 4 so when the check came I was unaware that gratuity was automatically added because why would it be? Our bill was around $230 and they added 15% gratuity which is fine but I didn’t realize they did that on a 4 top so I handed our server $40 cash and put the rest on a card. We didn’t notice until after the payment was processed that gratuity was automatically added which I am fully aware was my mistake my problem is when I asked a staff member to get our sever so I could apologize for my mistake but also get my cash tip back as I wasn’t planning on tipping $70 we got a different lady saying our original server had left (5 mins after we closed out) which again we would’ve been fine taking accountability for our mistake but when my sister and I got up and used the restroom we saw our original server standing behind the counter and when she noticed us she quickly walked away. I understand needing the money but lying about not being there just to pocket an extra $40 rubbed me the wrong way and felt unethical. Was here today. My buddy accidentally spilled a drink and broke a glass. It was a scene of course. Simple accident. I was actually planning on offering to pay for the glass and even giving our waitress an extra clean 20 bill for having to clean it up. I was sober except for the half beer I drank. This lady who wasn't even our waitress, snatched my drink away. I asked for a refund, since they asked us to leave and I obliged with respect. She was just absolutely disrespectful and basically told me to f myself. It was a simple mistake. I would've not made a big deal out of it if she simply gave me my money back for the drink they overcharged me for lol. Disrespectful as hell. Will never be back.. Steak was trash too. Asked for medium well and it tasted like leather. I've seen other people who have acted way worse and they never asked them to leave, or anything. I guess you give people power they think they can do whatever they want and choose who they give preferential treatment too. I'm never coming back.. The food here is worth the fact that some of the waitress ' can not understand what you are saying. They have the BEST Caldo De Camaron I have eaten here in Denver. That is saying something because I have been going to another place for the Caldo for about 20 years. This place has surpassed and taken over. The rest of their menu is wonderful also, very flavorful and seasoned to perfection. I would give the food here more than 5 stars if I could. The one incident we had with a waitress who didn't listen to what my co-workers ordered but instead went off of the picture from the page they were on was rectified immediately and that shows integrity and good business practices. Over all I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for AUTHENTIC food, Be warned the prices reflect the quality...so if you are on a tight budget don't order anything seafood related including the Caldo which comes in at over $16 a bowl, in defense of that price there is hearty portioning and it is full of shrimp so you are getting what you pay for...but you do pay for it.
