El Rancherito — Restaurant in Denver

We've been going here for years and its just going down hill more every time. Last time we dined in we asked for a cheese quesadilla for our 11 month old daughter and we were brought a chicken quesadilla which we knew our daughter would not eat. We let staff know and we were given attitude as if it was our fault they brought us the wrong food. Another time we ordered food to go and the portions were much smaller than dine in portions but no difference in price. We ordered to go again today and were told they can't put items on the side if we don't want to be charged extra for them. We weren't ordering extra, we just wanted the Sour cream and Guacamole on the side. We then asked if we could get the sour cream without the Guacamole (not on the side, so we didn't incur the extra charge) they said they couldn't do that. It was both or none. My husband said let me ask my wife what she wants to do (I was sitting right next to him) and she literally yelled at my husband that she couldn't be put on hold. This is the last time we give this restaurant our money. By their replies to some of these reviews I can tell their disrespectful attitude is across the board. I don't know how they are still...

Was in the area running some errands the first time I decided to stop by for a breakfast burrito. It has an old town feel of it on the outside. The inside was cleaner than expected. The staff was kind & helpful with reccomendations. The breakfast burrito was actually pretty good despite not having my preferred mix of spices.

On my second visit, I decided to try some carne asada tacos as well as a bean burrito. I'm not a fan of smothered burritos. But if that's your thing, you'll probably enjoy these. The steak was a little more well done than normally I like, but the flavor was delightful. The salsas they offered fit the flavors of their menu items well.

My one complaint was that the restroom could have been cleaner. It was quite busy at the the time of my visit, which may have contributed to that. Still, I don't have a problem recommending this place if you are...

We absolutely loved the chilaquiles with potatoes! We dined in and staff was great and food was delicious! I am a little upset though because we did take out on 4 occasions now. The first two were good the portions were the same as they serve at the restaurant. The last two were not though, it wasnt even half of what we got served the other times it was really upsetting. I want to try and go one last time to see if it's different but I'm afraid to be disappointed again. I'm not sure if it varies from cook or if something changed since.
