Seedstock Brewery — Restaurant in Denver

I meant to give this review earlier. My school was playing in the first round of March Madness, and when I went to turn on the channel to watch at my house, the channel was not working, so I ran up to Seedstock to catch the game. They were the last game of the night, so the end of the game was coinciding with Seedstock closing. The bartenders were Anna, and I believe the other guy's name was Alex. Regardless, these two were more than hospitable. I kept telling them that if I needed to leave, just to let me know. They said they had to do some cleaning and to not worry about it. When they were completely finished with their closing work, there was still 5 minutes left in the game, and my team was only up by a few points. Anna said, I can't let you leave with this game being so close, so she let me sit there and watch the game until it finished. I ended up staying about 30-40 mins after closing time to watch the rest of the game. Anna and Alex went above and beyond expectations, and I have to give credit where credit is due. I'm so glad I found this place. Since the micro brewery explosion here in Denver we have almost an overwhelming number of places to choose from, and like it or not, not all of them are good. It feels like any Joe and Jane who home brewed wants to cash in... well, just because your friends say your beer is good, doesn't mean it is, they're probably just being polite...And just because you have a mustache doesn't make you an unofficial aficionado, I don't want to hear about your beers' mouth feel and how it invokes some deep emotion or understanding about the universe. Ok, Ok, I'm sorry. I will step off my soap box now. My point is Seedstock Brewery is an exception. They have done a nice job to stand out in a crowd by keeping it about the beer. The brewery is simple, no frills, and the beer does all the talking. Their beers are true to style with some nice twists. The beer is simple but carries some strong notes that will leave you wanting more. True beer-drinkers beer served with a smile. If you fancy yourself a true connoisseur, give these guys a try. Been to this place twice now. I will say each time there has been a really good beer - the pilsner - however, the rest of them just aren't that good. Aren't memorable I guess you could say.

The actual brewery is really cool. Great layout and awesome outdoor area.

I think where I have the most problems is who is there at night closing it down. Past two times it's been young kids. Both times they've had "friends" at the brewery and they're hanging out with most of the time. Smoking pot outside. Sharing drinks with the staff. Hanging out.

I had a "friend" actually process my payment. Not one of the two working there. He got up from the table and went behind the bar and helped me out after I had been standing there for ten minutes. So the friend gets an extra star for sure!

Place has opportunity. But I don't think I will be back...
