SONDER Coffee & Tea — Restaurant in Denver

I want to love place because I work in the adjoining building and I drink coffee everyday, sometimes multiple times. Unfortunately, the service is soooo slow. Like painfully. I’ve had to leave the line multiple times because I assumed 20 min was long enough to grab a quick coffee before a meeting, only to learn on several different occasions that it isn’t. Is it their baristas, the coffee machines or their processes? I don’t know but possibly all 3. It’s painful watching them make drinks, no efficiency, no urgency. It almost feels like confusion behind the counter and I’ve been coming for about 6 months now at least twice a week! Again, I want to love it so bad. I will say the staff is friendly which I appreciate it. The other issue I have is the cost. I drink drip, nothing fancy and feel ripped off every time I go. If I could tell you this coffee would give you wings, I would! Unfortunately Red Bull has that claim and I’ve yet to experience that...I’ll say this much though, every morning I wake up and drive to the office, I grab a cup of their amazing artisan coffee, why you might ask? Well from the ownership down they make sure every cup represents their passion to make good coffee for every customer. The time, research, and expertise they put into their craft is worthy of a five star review. Each season they surprise you with a new pallet of drinks that will make your taste buds jump off your tongue! The flavors of their coffee and tea are outstanding. I couldn’t ask for a better place to drop by and give them my business.

The atmosphere will have you lost in books and forget that time even exists. I definitely love and recommend this place, especially if you’re meeting with clients or chitchatting...

I had no idea Sonder opened another location and that it’s inside the Junction Food Hall! It’s a very cute little setup but they do get busy quickly. So please have some patience because trust me, it will be worth the wait!

The matcha is absolutely delicious! I got it sweetened with a little bit of honey and it was perfect! You know the matcha is going to be amazing when they pull out the powder and whisk! 100/10!

The raspberry danish was sadly not my favorite. With the influx of people it was briefly forgotten about and did come out very hot. And with them still being busy they accidentally packaged it to go so it was very messy to eat. The crunch and flakiness was fabulous but the raspberry to cream cheese ratio was a little off for me.
