This was my first time trying Korean fried chicken and I love the way they’re doing it here. Got some potstickers as a starter which was pretty standard but it was the chicken wings and drumsticks that were the start of the show. Tried them with the honey soy garlic sauce and Korean bbq and the Korean bbq sauce was definitely my favorite. It was a perfect balance of flavors while I found the honey soy garlic very soy heavy and not very balanced. The chicken itself was fried perfectly in a unique batter and coated perfectly in sauce which kept the chicken crispy and moist in the interior. Regarding service I wish our server was more attentive, there was times I was needing additional items or refills and they were not present. Same goes for when I was ready for the check and to cash out, could use some work in terms of being attentive, overall atmosphere was relatively quiet which is good for most. I've been a bonchon fan for years now, and this location was a huge plus -- my kid brother, who's a student, swears by this over pizza when he orders takeout for games, etc. So heres my first review.

The wings are still the staple -- unique but familiar enough for the uninitiated -- but I've never had any complaints with the rest of the menu, a diverse spread of Korean staple comfort/drinking foods, like bibimbap, etc. The fact that they also serve alcohol is awesome -- wings and beer, after all.

The people who work there are fun -- it's got a good vibe and that stuff matters -- and it's fast and a good price for something different but delicious. We've never had a problem. And now that it's closer, my kid brother and other students at DU can try something different to sub in for their pizza or takeout or whatever. So...

Visited for lunch with a friend who lives in Denver. We have previously been to the two other Bonchon restaurants in the area and they were good, but this one was EXCEPTIONAL!! 👍🏻👍🏻

My friend ordered the chicken katsu, which had recently been changed, and she liked the new recipe. I stuck with my tried and true 8 strips of soy-garlic chicken and fries as my side.

My usual concern is that the breading gets overwhelmed with the sauce, but this time it was crispy and the sauce was perfectly coated on each piece.

This location is near my friend's house, so if she's ever hungry for Bonchon chicken, she can order it for delivery now.

All in all, I feel giving them 5 stars is justified. Only time will tell if the quality stays this...
