Kind of mad I just went here for the first time after living in area for 4 years. True, not a place for drinky brunch, but the food was amazing. It is like finding that magical random diner when on a road trip. I need to go back for my planned meal (good night sausage pepper egg sandwich), but the special that day was bacon white cheddar green chile scramble and it was off the hook.
NEXT VISIT: What a quiet, small place you shouldn't be overlooking. Be aware that it isn't a booze-serving place, but the food is worth it regardless. It was my second time, and I had to get something off the menu (first time, I got the special). Well, I had to talk myself into NOT getting the special this day too, as it looked great and a pic of the description is below. I received fantastic service from Desiree and team. I asked her recommendations and went with the skillet. Solid dish. Limited amount of tables, and it has been busy each time I go, so get there early. I already have pegged my next two dishes when coming back...the sausage and pepper egg sandwich and the Good Night grilled cheese thing. The Boss also reads great. Their hot sauce is a combo hot sauce, and ask for a bottle. The iced tea was delicious and unique tasting. I definitely recommend and see you there.
NEXT VISIT: Another five star visit with some new info for you. First of all, I successfully fought off again the urge to get the special, although it looked delicious. I posted that pic too. Anyway, I had a plan going in and followed it. I got the Good Night, and it was AMAZING. A breakfast sandwich tucked in between two grilled cheese sandwiches. Brilliant. The mix and match hot sauce is a great add, the iced tea tastes extra good here, and Nicole was my server this time, and she was extremely efficient and on point with everything. The place was BUSY, so, again, you better get there early on weekends. Next, I plan on getting the sausage and pepper breakfast sandwich, and then The Boss. Can't wait. They don't do booze, but you can do that after your fantastic breakfast. Definitely recommend and see you there.
MY MOST RECENT VISIT: Another five star weekend visit. Desiree was my server yesterday, but know that Nicole rolls with her on the weekends, and is equally as nice, efficient, and experience elevating. So, I had a plan. I stared at the menu, knowing I came in for the final MUST HAVE dish I have been looking at, and they took it off the menu. The sausage and pepper sandwich was gone. This place is still 5 stars, but it made me sad. Feel lucky if you got that dish before it vanished. ANYWAY, they don't serve booze, but the iced tea is delicious. Small place that is always full, so know that ahead of time. Food. I got the Aji this time. Solid. It doesn't displace my top two items, but it is still a fantastic dish. The Good Night is the best thing on Earth. When someone talks about putting breakfast in BETWEEN two grilled cheese sandwiches, then you must pay attention. The Boss is my second favorite dish, and the skillet would come in fourth. Whatever is on the chalkboard needs to be considered too. Let's call the chalkboard 2.5. The hot sauce is from the kitchen, some concoction of mixed hot sauces, but still is fun. This place is direct and to the point. No frills, fast service, but delicious in the end game. Pic of the Aji is my most recent photo. Definitely recommend and...

Read moreSo so SO disappointed - My husband and I have been so excited to try this place after moving to Sunnyside. We arrived and the hostess told us "25-30 minutes, maybe faster." After about 35 minutes we went to check on our name and were told that two more people were ahead of us, which was totally fine by us, we had nowhere to be. Another 15 minutes passes, and in that time we hear the hostess calling at least 4 other names. Therefore, we check-in on our name again only for her to tell us that she called our name 10 minutes before (which was impossible since we were both sitting right there). We weren't so upset about waiting 30 minutes longer than originally quoted, we were more upset that they turned the blame on to us for not hearing them call our name. Finally we get seated, and we both order right away. 5 minutes passes after ordering and our waitress comes back to tell us that they had "just run out" of the cornbeef hash, the item that we had just waited over an hour for. Again, restaurants run out of food all the time, but it was really hard to ignore that we probably would have gotten what we came for had they not skipped our name on the list. The experience overall was painful, no one apologized for the original mix-up with the waitlist and not one action was taken to rectify the...
