The restaurant had a classic, warm and laid back vibe to it. We had breakfast one evening and a turkey avocado sandwich with fries the next. Each plate pleased our palates. We also had their pumpkin and apple caramel pies twice. Patricia the night manager and Tonya told us they were rated #4 in the country for their pies and we could see why! Patrica was so nice to us and she along with Tonya had genuinely kind energy surrounding them. I know it may sound exaggerated but it's not. They really were kind to us in a way that separated them from every other restaurant in Denver that we visited. As a consumer we don't always get that. Anyway, when business was slow Patrica talked to us for a little bit and she may not know this but the stories she told plucked at my heart strings. She was a sweet lady. Who knows if Patricia or Tonya will ever see this review but I'm the lady who gave you a laugh on my second caramel apple pie with icecream. You guys told me to eat it inside so the icecream wouldn't melt because I got it to go and and I said "No it won't because I'll just wait outside!" Tonya said I was too cute to my husband and I had them both laughing. Anywho, if you're hungry and want anything from breakfast to dinner to eat this is a nice classic spot and don't forget to squeeze in a pie! You'll regret it if you like pie and you don't eat one here! Each time my husband and I went it was late between 10pm to close Friday-Saturday. The ladies on that late night shift gave this place just that much more appeal. That and the pies. At...

Update: even with new systems it’s still impossible to get them to figure out how to accept gift cards, I don’t recommend dealing with that headache. Again there were only two people working and this time they had enough tables to make only two people very busy. Didn’t get my card doublded as the manage promised here. That doesn’t matter though. If you don’t have an issue that requires extra attention then you might get through your meal and think this place is decent, but it’s not staffed to fix even a minor mistake or complaint, and if they do have to then all the other customers are made to wait and have a bad experience.

Original review: DO NOT BUY A GIFT CARD AND EXPECT TO USE IT HERE!!!! This is the last remaining village inn in Colorado. Received a gift card for Christmas and was told I can’t use it because they are not corporate owned. The fine print in the terms and condition specifically say that franchises will accept these cards. I have a gift card that is completely useless. We only went here because of it. Won’t be back! There wasn’t even a manager on duty and the poor server didn’t even have the time to handle our complaint because there were only two people working in the building. The food service and payment options were atrocious, there’s a reason why they are the last Village Inn. This one is only still here because it’s by the airport and people don’t...

After flying my two children ages 3 and 10 all day long from NY to Colorado, changing planes, shuttles and picking up our own car we were ready to go home on our two hour drive. We had no time to eat changing planes and there were no meals served on the planes. We walked into the village inn on tower road at 7:51 not knowing they lock the doors at 8. Not knowing they were getting ready to lock up at 8 we walked in with our two kids to feed them primarily. With absolutely no hesitation the two employees at the door greeted us with, "actually guys we're going to close soon." Being tired and polite we turned our two hungry children around and walked out having been refused service for being there nine minutes before close when they were still serving seated customers. Normally I would never knowingly walk into a place that was closing that soon but sbout my kids it's a different story. After I walked out I walked right back in to tell them they were wrong but the kid still gave me an attitude about my Fatherly concern. Now I know we are all working extra hours for the people who aren't at their jobs but when there are two children who haven't eaten you should get a clue and do what you have to do. Those other customers didn't have to finish their dinners by 8 or out they went, stop being lazy put in an extra few minutes I do it at work all the time...

Village inn is my go-to spot. I usually visit the westminister location but have been eating at others for years. I love their pancakes, the best in the business, hands down. I had some business to attend to in the High Point area, so when I saw the restaurant I had to go. The restaurant was busy, typical Saturday morning. We were seated and brought menus. Our waitress was a young, thin African American female with no name tag. She took our order. My staple order is the tres huevos rancheros. My wife ordered a salad. The waitress asked what kind of green chile I wanted chicken or pork? I elected for chicken. Meals came out, and what a disappointment. All the food was burying the tortilla, beans were dried, and the chicken green chile looked like she diced up a chicken breast and disguised it under the egg while topping it with some green salsa. Our waitress kept asking if we needed anything else, but she never made eye contact. She was super friendly but would look at other tables while talking to us. Weird. We won't be returning to this location but will not let this visit deter us from continuing to give this business our support. Attached is the tres Huevos Rancheros from Westminister.

Look, I try to stick to the Mom & Pops' and the roadside diners. But sometimes you just need a reliable spot for a quick bite after your flight got in late and you slept like crap and your hotel unexplainably closes the Continental Breakfast at 8 a.m. And so we found ourselves at a Village Inn near the airport at 8:10 a.m. in the clothes we traveled in the day before. Quite grumpy, at that. This was a surprisingly great experience. Quick seating and excellent service from a very polite young man. I ordered my usual go-to: chicken fried steak and eggs with hashbrowns. The CFS came out fantastically crispy but was able to be cut entirely by fork only. Of course, Village Inn has hash browns perfected - they make tons of them every day. And perfect they were, especially with some country gravy and runny yolk on them. Seriously, this wasn't just exceeding low expectations and in desperate circumstances. This was one of the most pleasant dining experiences in a chain restaurant I have had in some time. Good on you, Village Inn. I knew I could count on you. Our paths don't cross often, but it is comforting to know you're there when needed.

Found the last remaining Village Inn in CO and this one has my favorite menu item resurrected, the Chopped Steak. Have always loved this dish and a few years back, they took it out of the menu and thus ended my craving for Village Inn. So glad, this was in their menu. This Village Inn is very near/on the way (Tower Rd) to the Denver International Airport (DIA) and surrounded by numerous hotels so, I guess this branch survived the closure of most Village Inns. The Chopped Steak was as I love it with a slight difference, the steak presentation is more like a Salisbury steak versus the former version of chopped/chunks smothered in gravy. Still, I love it! My husband was just ok with his pancake thus, the 4-⭐ rating. It's still the signature VI decor and color scheme with their pies. We visited around 2pm on a weekend but, seated immediately. Service was quick and pleasant. Ample free parking. Will definitely be back. ETC : Good food stop for travelers to and from DIA (Denver International Airport). #1 it's on the way via Tower Rd. #2 Prices for filling food vs airport
