I came this morning with my sister and mom and kids ( toddler, baby and a 8 yr old) to try this new place out for breakfast. I had been told it was a great place. Unfortunately we weren't able to even order a drink because the staff here is very unprofessional. I walked in to see if I could get a table before my sister got here and was completely ignored not one person asked me to be seated being there is a sign as soon as you walk in that reads please wait to be seated. I walked out a bit annoyed and told my family to go elsewhere but they insisted on going here. We all went in again waited a few minutes before we were even looked at and finally a young woman said there was a table available. It's a very small place so we were seated right in the middle of a large table with someone else already having breakfast which is already awkward sharing s table with q complete stranger, but I ignored it. I asked the waitress for two high chairs. One for my 1 yr old son and another for my niece who is still an infant and was in her car seat so we wanted to put her in top of the high chair. The waitress comes back and leaves one and walks away. An older woman with short dark hair comes and leaves the menus, doesn't say good morning nothing. she sees my sister holding a car seat in her lap and doesn't even say let me get you a high chair. My sister asks if she could get a high chair and the lady goes over and gets it and leaves it there. I picked up that she seemed to be annoyed, mind you she walked right by me when I initially walked in the first time to try to get a table where I was IGNORED! As my sister places the car seat onto the high chair it was very uncomfortable it's a pretty small place we felt very cluttered and uncomfortable. That same lady the waitress comes back and has the nerve to say that's the high chair where the baby is in is in the way and it is a fire hazard and needs to be out of the way per her manager! What the hell!?? I immediately got up and said this is ridiculous and said we are leaving my mom grabbed the kids and headed out as we were all just annoyed at this point. On top of having poor customer service these people that work here have no manners she proceeded to talk about is while we were still gathering up our things in front of everyone saying well what do you want me to do its a fire hazard !? Along with the manager!! I have never felt so belittled in my life. Mind you of these people were smart all they had to say hey there's a wait for a larger table to accommodate you guys and it would've been fine. There were so many large tables with one person in each one. Like who the hell does the seating here!? Not only that the majority of the people dining there were all white people we were the only Hispanics which made us all feel like we were not Welcome at all. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone especially those with kids . I truly hope someone that works for this restaurant reads my comment and implements some manners and professionalism in...

Read moreThe place is quaint, food is decent, and prices are fair, but itâs overshadowed by poor customer service specifically from the oldest salt pepper haired server that wears glasses named Annette. I have been dining at carver for years back when Kevin (best server) worked here and always brought along a friend or family. Every single time my guests and I have been waited on by Annette, she had a sour and dismissive attitude plus never checked on us after our meals were served. The first few negative experiences I chalked it up to her maybe having a bad day or being overwhelmed at work, but after years of her aloof behavior, I have come to accept that is who she is as a person. I visited carvers regardless of her to support local business and because the other waiters are courteous and attentive, but after todayâs interaction we can no longer overlook her nasty behavior.
Today I had my siblings with me and among them was my younger brother who is autistic and very soft spoken. Like clockwork, Annette arrived at our table annoyed like we were inconveniencing her, and asked for our orders. My little brother tried placing his order when she interrupted him saying, âyeah I canât hear a single word you saidâ. He tried repeating his order while pointing to the menu and she cut him off again harshly asking, âyou want the (order item) B?â to which he just nodded.
I spoke up and asked her to be patient and speak kinder to him but she just rolled her eyes, let out a big sigh and asked for my order. She was completely dismissive and didnât try to apologize for her nasty behavior with a kid. I have the interaction recorded in case she tries to deny any wrongdoing, but unfortunately you canât share video on google.
